Kalbi (Korean BBQ Short Ribs) Recipe

In this video, you’ll see how to make Korean barbecued beef ribs. They’re a staple of Korean restaurants, but so easy to make at home—and so much less expensive. Simply marinate the Korean-style short ribs in a tangy sauce of brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Then grill them to a beautiful mahogany color. Serve the beef sliced, rolled in leaves of romaine lettuce with Korean red pepper paste (gochujang) on the side. Watch the video, then get CC’s 5-star recipe for Kalbi. Ingredients
¾ cup soy sauce
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup water
1 garlic clove, minced
2 eaches green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon Asian (toasted) sesame oil
2 pounds Korean-style short ribs (beef chuck flanken, cut 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick across bones)
