Learn how to make Grilled Chicken Burger at Home!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
For the chicken:
• 3 chicken breasts – thinly sliced longitudinally
• ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
• Chilli flakes to taste
• ½ teaspoon olive oil
• 1½ teaspoon ginger paste
• ½ lemon juice
• Salt to taste
For the mayo:
• 90 gms Greek yogurt
• 1 tablespoon barbeque sauce
Also required:
• Burger Buns (pack of 4)
• Handful of green lettuce leaves
• Handful of red lettuce leaves
• 4 fried eggs – sunny side up
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Method:
1. Take the sliced chicken breast in a bowl and add salt, pepper, ginger paste, olive oil, and chilli flakes
2. Mix the chicken well and keep it aside for 5 mins
3. Toast the burger buns on a grill pan in high heat for 2 mins or till the buns get the grill marks on them
4. Grill the chicken breast on high heat in the same pan for 2 mins on one side, and then flip and sear for 2 more mins on the other side
5. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon on the chicken and switch off the gas
6. Place a non-stick pan on medium heat, and spread 3 drops of oil evenly on it
7. Fry an egg on the pan and remove from heat after 5 mins. Do not overcook the egg as the yolk should be runny
8. To assemble the burger, place the buns on a plate and spread yogurt mayo on the buns
9. Place the green lettuce leaves on the mayo, followed by the grilled chicken
10. Add the red lettuce leaves next and place the fried egg on top
11. Top it up with the burger bun, and serve the burgers with some fries!
