COOK FROM: VIETNAMESE FOOD ANY DAY COOKBOOK | GRILLED PORK CHOP WITH THE VIBRANT TURMERIC RICE

Hello friends and family. A slow chat in the kitchen while making dinner. I love cookbooks and a lot of them are gifts that has been given to me. This one is another Vietnamese cookbook that is easy to cook from. Here I made grilled pork chops with a simple lemongrass marinade that I made the day before, with a stove top vibrant turmeric coconut rice (I decided to skip the coconut water) and a kale and broccoli slaw salad from a salad kit. Easy peasy dinner done. This dish is slightly bland for our taste but I’ll tweak the marinade next time around. Hey, I followed the recipe right?

The basic Vietnamese dipping sauce, nuoc cham, goes really well with the pork chops. It’s a sweet, vinegary fish sauce with a slight spicy kick dip:
