How to make easy Vietnamese Pork Chop | Red the Cooking Dad

Vietnamese chop chops are one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. It’s sweet, tangy and aromatic flavors remind me of endless summers.

Here is my attempt to cook this dish. It’s easy and delicious.

Ingredients:
3 pieces pork chop (or tenderloin)
3 stalks lemon grass
2 pcs green scallions
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 Tbsp fish sauce
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 Tbsp brown sugar
3 Tbsp honey

Mince lemon grass and white scallions. Tenderize the pork by hitting with a mallet. Mix marinate with lemon grass, white scallions, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, fish sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar and honey. Let sit for 5 hours or overnight.

Grill pork chops in medium heat for 8 minutes per side.

Dipping sauce
1 Tbsp fish sauce
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp hot water

Mix well until sugar dissolves.

Garnish
In a hot pan, pour 3 Tbsp oil and cook green scallions until wilted.

Garnish pork chops.

Serve with Rice, cucumbers and tomatoes.
