Braised Pork Baby Back Ribs
2 slabs Pork baby back ribs (cut in half)
1/2 cup soysauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
2-3 tbsp. minced garlic
2 medium chopped white onions
2 tsp. crushed red pepper
2/3 cups brown sugar
2 cups water
*You may liquid smoke
Marinade for atleast 4 hours or preferably overnight.
Use a wide shallow pot. Do not stack your ribs. Arranging it in a single layer is a MUST.
Simmer for 2.5 to 3 hours using low heat or until you can easily pull off the bones.
You may also use medium heat and boil pork ribs for 1.5 to 2 hours. Just lower the heat when sauce has reduced because you might end up burning your pork ribs.
Remember to strain the sauce to remove sediments. After straining, you may opt to reduce it or use cornstarch to thicken it. Coat again your ribs with the thickened sauce.
Serve with your favorite side dish. I recommend corn and carrots, coleslaw or mashed potatoes. ?
