Welcome to the 3rd series of recipe videos with Farmers
Market Singapore! Today, I’m gonna show you how to cook Chinese BBQ Pork or Char Siu. Check out the recipe below:
470-500g Pork Tenderloin:? https://www.farmersmarket.com.sg/collections/pork/products/2-x-450gm-pork-tenderloin-pieces
Marinade:
1 whole garlic
4 pcs shallots
1 inch ginger, all peeled and grated
1 tsp white pepper
1 tbsp 5 spice
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp hoisin
2 tbsp jap soy
1 tbsp dark soy
1 tbsp sweet soy
2 tbsp chinese cooking wine
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1pc red bean curd (can be replaced with red yeast rice/beetroot juice)
In this recipe, we marinated the pork for 36hrs.
Glaze
Boiled leftover marinade
Honey
Red bean curd juice
Brush each piece and cook for 20 minutes at 180 degrees celsius.
Reglaze every 5-7mins until it’s cooked
Once cooked, let it rest for at least 10-15 minutes.
Serve with egg noodles, sambal, chili vinegar, tomatoes, cucumbers, and more green chillies.
