Beef Short Ribs with Homemade Bourbon BBQ Sauce (2020)

Beef Short Ribs with Bourbon BBQ Sauce

12” Dutch oven
Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients:
1. ¼ cup Butter
2. ¼ cup Vegetable oil
3. 1 Medium Onion (Diced)
4. ¾ cup Bourbon
5. 2/3 cup Ketchup
6. ½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
7. ½ cup Orange Juice
8. ½ cup Maple Syrup
9. 1/3 cup Molasses
10. 2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
11. 8-10 Beef short Ribs
12. Beef Rub of your choice

Directions:

Rub the Ribs the night before with your favorite rub and wrap with Saran wrap. Then place in the refrigerator.
For the Barbecue Sauce mix all ingredients together in a pan. Place on the stove and simmer for 45-60 minutes. When thickened remove from heat and let cool until you have the Dutch oven ready.
Get 2 cups of Barbecue Sauce ready.
Place a layer of ribs in the Dutch oven and pour ½ of Barbecue Sauce over the ribs then place another layer on top of the other ribs. Then pour the other ½ of the Barbecue Sauce on top.
Save the rest of the Barbecue Sauce later use and put in the refrigerator. It will last up to 2 weeks.
Put the lid on the Dutch oven and cook at 350 degrees for 1 ½ -2 hours.
