Chicken Wings on the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050

To round out this opening series on the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, I decided to cook a batch of chicken wings. Cooking wings nice and hot like this gives you a visibly crisp skin and a beautiful flavor. I seasoned with Atlanta Grill Company’s Himalayan Sherpa and then tossed these in The Farm Sauce for a smashing finish….

hey guys I’m John Setzler welcome backto Atlantic grill company today we’regonna fire up the masterbuilt gravityseries 1050 again and we’re gonna cooksome chicken wings so let’s get started[Music]I’m gonna go ahead and light a fireunderneath the chimney of themasterbuilt and we’re gonna let that sithere for about two or three minutes toget that coal started before we fire itup so I’m gonna set the temp to get usstarted here just gonna let it stay at225 and let that fire up we’re gonnacook at about 400 degrees today but I’mnot gonna run the masterbuilt up thathigh until we’re actually ready to cookokay I’ve wrapped our grill up to 400we’re letting it come up to temperatureand while it comes up we’re gonna getthese wings ready I’ve got about threepounds of wings in here and I’m gonnatoss in a little bit of extra virginolive oil and we’re just gonna tossthese wings in that’ll to get themcompletely coated and then we’ll justlet these guys right here for a fewminutes until our grills readyokay our grills up to temperature andI’m gonna dump these wings up here onthe middle rack and let’s go spreadthese guys out and try not to kick mycamera stand around too much in theprocess so I’m gonna just spread themapart a little and the next thing I’mgonna do is we’re gonna put a little bitof seasoning on those I’m gonna hitthese with some of the Atlanta Grillcompany Himalayan Sherpa which is areally nice salt pepper and garlic blendI’m just gonna hit these on one side andour cook time today is gonna be almostan hour or so and we’re gonna let theseguys ride for 30 minutes right here justlike this before we come back all rightguys we’ve been going right out about 30minutes or so here these are lookingpretty good so what I’m gonna do is I’mjust going to reach in here we’re gonnaflip them all and after I get thoseflipped we’re gonna shake on just alittle bit more of that Himalayan Sherpaon the opposite side and we’re gonna letthese go for about another 20 minutes 25minutes and I’m gonna ramp the temp upto 450okay guys we’ve been going right out anhour and I want you to know my friendsthat’s what a Wings supposed to looklike so I’m gonna take these off andwe’re gonna go on to the next phase orcook here if you get down to this phaseof your cook and your wings don’t looklike that and they don’t have that nicecrisp appearance just leave them onthere they’ll get there so the nextthing I want to do is sauce these wingsand I’m gonna use a dose of the farmsauce this is a really nice horseradishsauce I know you guys have seen me usethis before I’m gonna put about aquarter of a cup of that in there andwe’re just gonna toss these wings inthat and get them coated I may put justa little bit more in there I want to geta nice coat of this on all these wingsI’m gonna keep tossing it that looksgood we’re gonna put these back on thegrill I’m gonna leave the grill where Ihad it set it for 75 and we’re justgonna dump those back on there I’m gonnakind of spread them just a little bitand let these cook for another 10minutes or so okay after about eightmore minutes or so I think these guysare set so we’re gonna take them off andlet them rest for just a couple ofminutes and then we’re gonna give them atry okay folks I’ve let these guys restjust a little bit I’m gonna take one ofthese a little bit of blue cheese dip onit[Music]hmm cuz these things have an amazingcrunch just the beautiful flavor thesimple salt pepper garlic seasoning fromthe Himalayan Sherpa and the horseradishbackbone from the farm sauce just cometogether to make a wing that’s gonnaknock your socks off so guys give this atry let me know what you think untilnext time this is John Setzler withAtlanta grill company[Music]
