[Music]all right welcome back to southern breadadventures today I did a video yesterdayon preparing a turkey getting thebreasts out of a wild turkey I got acouple of people comebacks and a man whowasted a lot of meat but we actuallydidn’t we just did the video I’m gettingthe breasts out we saved the leg and thethigh meat you take a look at it it’s alittle bit darker and your breast meathis breast meat white meat and he’s inthis leg and thigh meat is real dark yousee the tendons and the fat and whatwe’re gonna do we’re getting there we’regonna cut all that out put someseasoning on in one of my favorites is aJohnny seasoning salt and then there’sred tech grills heifer does using onsteaks but I put it on everything andthen we just put a little bit garlicpowder and there’s just regular blackpepper all right so the first thingwe’re gonna make sure we want to cleanclean our meat off real good all rightcome up here and you can see some of theyou know the fat parts right here we’rejust gonna try to get that out of therekind of spin that out right here eachthis little fat part up top so tendercoming in here try to cut that out thebest you can looks a lot this is justthe fat part is just gonna cook offanyway once you get it on the grill hereyou can tell where it got to got alittle shot in itdo that at allgo ahead do the same thing with this oneso you got a little bit more fat on thisone than the other onelike I said a lot of this is gonna cookoff on the grill once we get it on therewe got the grill preheated I’m gonna putthese back to breads we’re gonna put onthis afternoon put those on threeput it on 325 leave it on there probablyabout an hourjust let it we got a pill it a pillowgrillwe’re gonna be cooking it on today makesmakes cooking fun and enjoyable so thenall we want to do is get these thesebreasts laid out herethere’s any flavor and flavor to youryour taste just put some of this Johnnyseasoning salt on it a little bit ofgarlic powder again some black pepperseason it to your taste and then myfavorite some of these rectangles haveheard uswe got this other little pieces littletendons I feel go ahead and season it upreal quick and this is just the otherpart off the breast it has sort of likea tenderloin underneath it andso we’ll take this over here just let itsit for a couple of minutes the next andagain like I said yesterday never reallyhad a whole lot of love had a probablyseven or eight people message me and sayman you’ll be wasting a lot of meat wellwe didn’t waste the meat we got thatkept it I got plenty of it in my freezerI just never had a had a good recipe sowhat I’m doing try to cut some of thisfat off don’t know how much I’ll be ableto get off of it and I’m gonna put it ina crock-pot so I got my crock-pot set upover thereand uh just let it cook low and slow andthen see why we come up we had somepeople say some turkey some turkey saladI have people saying turkey pot pies wehad people that cook tacos out of them Iguess the secret of it is just lettingit cook low and slow so we’re gonna giveit a try and like I said feel freemessage us you’re gonna go on ourFacebook page or you know just leave amessage in the comments you know of yourfavorite recipe and what you like to dowe have it like said of quite a fewpeople reach out to us so uh I get a lotof this fat offlike yeah I again we’re kind of sort ofshoot-from-the-hip we’re gonna you knowtry to guess season at the exact sameway see what we come up with I’m excitedabout this so you can see this thismeets a lot darker than that was justlike your regular chicken you chickenyou buy out a store you know the legsare dark meat in the breast or whitemeats the wild turkeys are the exactsameand again this is a younger bird so alittle bit please a little bit moretender than a old three or four year oldTom alright so we’re just gonna throwhere in the crock pot it’s good seasonit burps I’m just go ahead and season itthe exact same wayJohnny little garlic powdergo ahead spray the bottom of the pan alittle olive oil on there so much stickI’m gonna put it on for eight hourshopefully make us some some turkeyTurkish salad out of that tomorrow letit cook overnight and I’ll touch baseback with you tomorrow unless you knowhow that comes out but again there’s ayou know not a whole lot of fat the fatwe get off right thereand then right here you got it’s nicenice meat think we better go out hereand walk out here and put it on thegrill all right we’re back so we justlike walk out here we got our grill yeahwe preheated it three at three hundredso we won’t turn it upthreeget it 325 and again like I said whatwe’re using is uh this is just a woodpellet smoker just got a little hopperon the side put our wood pellets in itand just come on here[Music]and we’re just gonna go ahead and letthose let those cook for anywhere from60 60 70 minutes of our hour and 10minutes just let it cook let the grilldo it and do the job and then we’llcheck back in in about an know this feels kind offirm and it’s done we’re going to take alookoh yeah oh yeah[Music]take them all and turn on grill old buthit on the inside and finish oh allright so we’re uh we’re finished finishwithout a turkey breasts growing insideI’m gonna do next we’ll go ahead and goahead and taste this about the dumbproduct tastes like set it right downhere see what we get guys got a greatcolor great textureoh yeahall right um next thing we’ll do withour thighs our legs meet we got overherethey’ve been on same about an hour and ahalf I’m go ahead and add about a cupand a half two cups of water with thatand then we throw a couple of chickenboy on cubes in there now I’m smellinggreat looking good like sad those sinceuh you know the recipe am appreciatedthank you I’m just gonna drop a coupleof these a chicken Boyan cube and puttwo of them in there just you know add alittle extra flavoringput this top back on and I say we’regonna let this cook low and slowovernight and get back with you tomorrowfinish it uh that’d be a part two andthen uh just come up and see we mightput some rice on this I’m not sureexactly what we’re gonna do see what thetexture see what it looks like but uh asfar as the breastshey you can’t beat it it’s agood-looking food right there and thenwe’ll we’re gonna head out now we’reheaded out try to get on another birdget my daughter on one she had and uhshe
