RECIPE
Ingredients
3 ½ lbs of chicken wings
1 cup of your favorite BBQ rub
(We use a Memphis style rub, our recipe is below)
1 ½ cups of your favorite wing sauce
(We use Bluff City Sweet Heat, our recipe is below)
½ cup of cooking oil
Memphis Style Rub
½ cup of brown sugar
3 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp white sugar
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Bluff City Sweet Heat
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 cup hot sauce
½ cup of brown sugar
2 tbsp garlic powder
Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
Following instructions of the video, pat wings dry with paper towel
(front and back)
Apply a generous amount of rub to wings. Make sure you coat evenly
Set up you gas grill for an indirect cook by leaving a side burner off or
a distance cook by only using the top rack
Heat Grill to ~400F
Place wings on grill away from heat
Flip every 8 min to 10 min while seasoning with rub occasionally
Cook wings for 40 min and check for doneness
Should have an internal temp of ~165F and juices should run clear
Remove from grill and season again
Apply sauce, season, toss and serve immediately
