hi today we’re going to show you how tomake grilled chicken and mashed potatoesand steamed broccoli and the first thingwe’re gonna do is we order chickenthighs because we really like those andthey gave us chicken breasts becausethat’s what was available right now soto tenderize it a little bit and so thatit doesn’t dry out we use an old cerealbags that you cleaned out and then arolling pin and Boyd’s gonna show youhow to flatten the chicken okay finishthe rest of that later so basically whatwe’re gonna do with the spice rub we puta few tablespoons of brown sugar inthere and then we added a little bit ofsalt paprika cumin turmeric and cayenneand kind of mixed it all together youcould put in whatever spices you haveand then once the chicken is flat likethis becomes B flat chicken this is whatit used to look like once it’s flatwe’re going to put it innice dress and then we’re gonna makesure it’s evenly coated and we’re justgoing to let it kind of marinate in thespice rub for like an hour before wegrow them okay so the chicken has beenin the spice rub for about an hour makesure whatever really you have you turnit up to high heat or you could alsocook it on the stove on high heatbecause the chicken is so thin now it’sjust going to get a super quick sear oneach side maybe you like five minuteswe’ll come back out and check it in fiveminutes but I’m going to go ahead and onthe grill okay so it’s been about fiveminutes I’m checking on the chicken I’mjust going to go ahead and flip them allover[Music]about four or five more minutes[Music]the next part of our dinner we are goingto be making mashed potatoes since wehave six people in our family we aregoing to be peeling six potatoes okay sowe just finished I’m peeling all of ourpotatoes and I already must cut them upinto smaller chunks so that it’ll boilfaster if you don’t want them to boilfast you can leave them off you wantokay so I finished cutting up all thepotatoes now we are going to fill up thepan with water to the potatoes[Music][Music]okay so now hiokay so now love potatoes the water isboilingit’s a potatoes right so now we’re goingto turn our heat down to low and thenwe’re going to let it sit here for about20 minutes okay so it’s been about 20minutes and the potatoes ready you knowthey’re ready when they have like littlecracks in themand when you touch it they break aparteasily so now I’m gonna have my mom pourthe hot water out okay so now that thehot water is out I’m going to justmushroom okay so the potatoes are allmushed up and now we’re going to add ouringredients so we’re gonna put in threetablespoons of butter some salt somepepper and some a little bit of milk youcan always change it based on what yourpreference is[Music]the last thing you need to do is tastetest it to see if it needs any more milkpepper or salt that’s good so we’re alsogonna rock my for generic dress but sodid you I make it so first we’re goingto cut off this not serve the fresh[Music]okay so we’re also going to cut up thispart in cooking as well because my momdoesn’t want to waste okay so now I’mgonna cut up all the broccoli I’m goingto for about 15 minutes okay so thebroccoli has been cooking on low forabout 15 minutes and we’re getting readyto check on the way you can test to seehow it’s done is you could take a knifeand poke the knife through the broccoliif it goes in easily um that means it’stender and it’s ready so now I’m goingto help my mom take all the put all takea little water out and then we’ll eat itokay so now are you doing here son untilyou make grilled chicken mashed potatoesand broccoli
