HOW TO MAKE HONEY SRIRACHA CHICKEN WINGS ON THE GRILL
__________________________________________________________________
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
– Chicken wings (I prefer the look of unsplit wings but that’s just me)
BBQ RUB:
– 2 tbs black pepper
– 2 tbs kosher salt
– 1/2 tbs paprika
– 1/2 tbs garlic powder
– 1/2 tbs onion powder
HONEY SRIRACHA SAUCE:
– 1/2 cup creamed honey
– 1/2 cup sriracha sauce
– 1tbs Soy sauce
– 1/2 fresh lime
METHOD:
Step #1
To begin you will need some Chicken wing and a simple bbq rub (see above recipe) and apply the bbq rubs to all the sides of your wings. This is going to help provide a great base layer of flavour! With this done set up your grill between 375-400 degrees..
Step #2
With your grill up to temperature, place the wings opposite the coals and place on some hickory or hardwood of your choice. Close the lid and begin cooking and smoking your ribs for around 30-35 minutes at this point they should be around 175F.
Step #3
After 30-35 minutes, begin to apply your honey sriracha sauce to both sides then close the lid and let it set between 5-10 minutes. After its set apply a second coating of the honey sriracha sauce and and cook an addition few minutes. At this point your wings should be sitting around 185F which is perfect for me.
That’s it, enjoy.

hey welcome back to pulse’ barbecue I’mJayden postal and today at the grillwe’re making some sticky and delicioushoney sriracha wings that you’re gonnalove and just like always again Pinellasshown us for you in the description boxbelow so make sure to click down thereand see everything that you need forthis cook also if you like what we’redoing on this channel considersubscribing for more great barbecuerecipes tutorials and reviews of netlet’s get into the cook so everyoneloves a good hot wing but when it comesto spicy wings there’s a lot ofdifferent options out there which is whytoday we’re gonna be making these honeysriracha wings which packs great flavorbut still offers that spiciness thatwe’re looking for in a good wing so getstarted with this recipe you’re gonnaneed some chicken wings I’ve chosentoday – to get the full wing intact thisis sort of my preferred way to cook themand eat them just because this is justmy preference so to prepare the wingslet’s get them seasoned up first alittle bit of olive oil and just coatsthe outside surface with this this is alittle bit of a red pepper infused oliveoil which is gonna go really great withcomplementing that sriracha saucealright those are all coated with ouroil next I’m going to apply a simplebarbecue rub in here I have twotablespoons of black pepper 2tablespoons of kosher salt a half atablespoon of garlic powder half atablespoon of onion powder and a half atablespoon of paprika just to give it alittle bit of color and so go ahead andplace that over your wingsand the reason why I’m keeping it simplelike this is just because I want add theflavor of our sauce to comes throughreally well and so this is gonna seasonit provide a base layer of flavor butnot much more than that all right flipthem over we’ll do the same to the otherside[Music]so there isn’t really anything else weneed to do to prep these wings so let’sgo ahead and get the kettle set up forcooking around 400 degrees to set up ourgrill I filled up a full chimney basketof briquettes and got them fully lit andthen I dumped into the kettle close thelid and got it up to temperature so withour kettle up to temperature it’s nowtime to get these chicken wings onto thegrill and begin cooking them with thechicken on the grill the last thing I’mgonna do is place a few little pieces ofhickory over the coals close the lid andbegin cooking well we have our wingscooking on the grill let’s go ahead andstart making our honey sriracha sauce soto begin making our sauce you’re onlygonna need four things we have somehoney add some sriracha a little bit ofsoy sauce and an optional lime and sostart by placing your honey into a warmsaucepan and today I’m using a creamyhoney and this is because when it coolsa little bit it’ll actually thicken up alittle bit giving it and giving you areal nice texture to that I’m gonna addin another half a cup of sriracha andthis is where you need to reallyexperiment for yourself because you mayfind that 1/2 a cup is a little bit toospicy and so maybe start with 1/4 cup or1/3 of a cup and work your way up fromthere to your preferred tasteso now let’s stir that around makingsure that it’s not burning to this I’mgonna take a little bit of soy sauce andI’m gonna add in about 1 tablespoon thenthe last thing to do is take half of alime and I’m gonna squeeze that in tothis sauce and this is just gonnabrighten it up a little bit so stir thatall togetheronce all of our ingredients are togetherjust go ahead and give it a little tastejust to see what it might be missing foryour taste maybe you need a little morehoney more sriracha more lime even butgo ahead and give it a tastewhoo that’s greatit’s got a nice blend of honey andsriracha this is my preferred way tomake this sauce once our sauce is readyI’m gonna let it simmer just for one ortwo minutes before I remove it from theheat and let it cool down to a roomtemperature our wings have now beencooking for about 30 minutes and theyshould be close to being done so let’sopen up the grill and get a temperaturethese wings look amazing already theygot some great color going on and solet’s just probe them and see what thetemperature is out here got 170 180perfectthese are reading between 178 in 180 283ish and so these are done we’re lookingfor 175 to 185 is sort of my sweet spotand so let’s go ahead and brush some ofthis sauce onto these wings and let’slet that set a little bit[Music]it’ll flip them over and do the same onthe other sideonce your wings have been saw streetclothes the grill and we’re going to letthat sauce set for about five to tenminutesso I’ve let the sauce set on these wingsfor about seven minutes now but what I’mgonna do is open up the grill and giveone final a coating of this sauce so[Music]I’ll let this sauce set for anotherseven minutes or so before I pull themoff to get ready for the taste test[Music][Applause][Music]these honey sriracha wings are all doneand man do they ever look amazinglet’s go in for the taste test here it’sgot a nice pull apart there this is theflat here[Music]as expected these wings have so muchgoing on from that kiss of smoke fromthe kettle to the sweetness of the honeyand that spicy bite of the sriracha thisis absolutely wonderful to eat it’ssticky is delicious Wow[Music][Music]so that’s how you make that incrediblydelicious sticky honey sriracha saucefor your next feasthey if you want to see more videos justlike this one make sure to hit thatsubscribe button as well as thatnotification bell and we’ll see you nexttime
