hey everyone welcome back today we’remaking wings in 2019 the estimatedchicken wing consumption was nearly 1.3billionneedless to say we as a people well welove our wings so today I’m gonna showyou two ways to make delicious wings athome using your oven in my first batchof wings I’m gonna boil them first thenstick them in the ovenboiling helps get rid of some of thatexcess fat so the chicken wings getcrispier as they bake season your pot ofwater with salt and treat this just likeyou’re salting the water for pasta nowwhen it comes to the wings look for thepackage labeled party wings this alreadyhas little wing it’s and drumettespre-cut for you add that into yoursalted water and we’re gonna boil thisbatch for seven minutes before drainingthem in a colander and then placing ontoa baking sheet lined with a paper towelto cool down while those are cooling I’mgonna work on the sauce for the wingsI’m making a homemade barbecue sauce andI’m first starting with one 15 ounce canof tomato sauce 1/4 cup tomato paste 1/2cup apple cider vinegar 1/3 cup honey1/4 cup bowl ASUS 3 tablespoons ofWorcestershire 2 teaspoons liquid smoke1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon garlicpowder 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2teaspoon onion powder and 1/2 a teaspoonof salt I’m gonna combine these and letthis simmer for 20 minutes even thoughthis is on a low temp wallet simmered Istill found that it slightly splatteredI ended up putting on a splatter guardor whatever this thing is called andthat seemed to help keep my stovetopclean once done remove from the heat andlet cool once the wings are cooled we’regonna take a paper towel and dry themoff this step is really importantbecause it has a big impact on howcrispy the wings are gonna be later onin order for the wings to get crispy allthe surface water needs to evaporate andcook off first I’m giving each wing agood few squeezes before placing themonto a baking sheet with a cooking rackmake sure to place the wings with afattier side facing downbefore placing them in the oven makesure none of the wings are touching andwe’re gonna bake these at 450 for 25minutes after the 25 minutes are upflip and bake for another 10 take themout of the oven and set aside theslightly cool once the wing started tocool down I notice that they turned moreof a golden brown and started to crispup really nice for the second batch I’malso using a 2 pound package of partywings that have rinsed and placed on abaking sheet with a paper towel I’mgonna use the same method as beforewhere I squeeze out any excess waterthat could be on the wing before placingthem into a bowl I’m then gonna sprinkle1 tablespoon of baking powder do not andI repeat do not use baking soda we’regonna use baking powder for this recipestir the chicken with a spoon or withyour hands until all the chicken iscoated in the baking powder place yourchicken on a baking sheet wire rackcombo make sure no one’s touching oneanother and we’re gonna bake these at425 for about 30 to 40 minutes with theoven set to the convection mode now ifyou don’t have an oven with that settingno problem they came out 450 for 40minutes then drop it down to 350 andbake for another 30testes in the wings I held off addingany salt to these before putting them inthe oven adding salt was gonna draw upmoisture and I was looking to get crispywings not crispy and dry so I waiteduntil they were out of the oven thenlightly salted them and the camerareally doesn’t do these justice I wasreally surprised by the way that theycame out they had almost a deep friedlook to them and just like batch numberone they really started to get theircolor while they were cooling beforeserving up the wings I’m gonna make onemore sauce a honey garlic sauce I’mfirst starting with four tablespoons ofhoney 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 2teaspoons of white vinegar and 2teaspoons of minced garlic and now weeat as much as I love wings and both ofthese turned out amazing I would have tosay that the baking powder wings wereprobably my favorite but you guys be thejudge thanks for watchingdon’t forget to subscribe that way youdon’t miss out on any other videos likethis one
