Bangin’ BBQ Ribs – Easy Oven-only Recipe

Yoooo who doesn’t love bbq ribs!? On top of that, who doesn’t like an easy recipe that doesn’t require too much prep or fuss. Here you have these: bbq ribs that are sticky, sweet, and tender. Featuring a homemade rub and sauce. You simply cannot go wrong here!

FIRST – Preheat your oven to 300F/150C

Ingredients:

Rub:
Salt – 2 Tbsp
Pepper – 2 Tbsp
Brown Sugar – 2.5 Tbsp
Paprika – 2 Tbsp
Cumin – 1 Tbsp
Cayenne Pepper – 1Tbsp (less if you prefer)
(add whatever else you please)
Ketchup

Sauce:
onion – half, minced
garlic – 3 gloves, minced
ginger – 10 grams, grated
Rub (from above) about 2-3 Tbsp
tomato paste – 1.5 tbsp
(any) vinegar – 2 tbsp
Water – 2 Cups (you can add more to your liking)

Meat:
Full rack of ribs – I used Spare Ribs (St.Louis-trimmed) but you can also use Baby Back Ribs. Any of the options will work just fine, don’t worry.

Tip:
LOW AND SLOW – do not rush it or your meat will be dry or excessively tender. Neither is desirable.

Feel to adjust as needed. You can change up the rub or sauce as long as you maintain the cooking technique.

no wood there’s no smoke there’snone of that authentic stuff so pleaseplease please save the complaints thisis about cooking ribs at home in theoven just so you know I screwed up theaudio on the original clip so today I’mgonna come at you with some voiceoveraction nonetheless a lot of food porn upin here so I hope you’re ready you sayfor work y’all so first things first yougot to make that rub it’s gonna be awhole bunch of spices in there and I putall the information in the descriptionbox below so just go ahead and mix allof those up in a bowl and then oncethey’re all in there start to startaround with a whiskyou got a whisk it up real good to makesure you break up all the brown sugaryour brown sugar is solid you want tomake sure to microwave it beforehandforget it stuff that way everythingincorporates nicely and this is what youwant that deep red color next thing upis to prepare your bed of aluminum foilthis is gonna be the foundation of yourpackage so you want to lay foil out andthen place your ribs on top of thatafter that you want to grab your ketchupsquirt a bunch of it over the ribsspread it around with your hands andthen you’re ready to start putting therub on the ribs sprinkle that rub reallyliberally all over the ribs do not bescared you cannot over up I promise sojust keep sprinkling on there so you gota nice coat and then rub it in therereal goodget in there you know massage demetriareal nice you got to make sure the meatis happy before it goes in the oven andof course you do that to both sidesonce you’re done hold your ribs up inthe air like this as if it was a titlebelt and show everybody how proud youare you want to fold all the foil overthe ribs in order to make a nice littleenvelope and you’re gonna do this twicebecause you want to ensure that no fleshside of the rib is exposed to the heatso you want to flip it over and then dothe envelope again and off to the ovenwe go we’re gonna cook this for abouttwo hours at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for150 degrees Celsius you’re doing babyback ribs and maybe you only want tocook your ribs for about an hour and ahalf and now one’s 40 minutes that waythey don’t get extremely tender to thepoint where they’re just falling allover the placeso now that you have all this time tokill you might as well make a sauce Istart my sauce with a little bit of oiland some onions and garlic I let thatsweat down till it gets nice and maybejust a bit of color and then I go inwith some ginger I grate the ginger andthis is basically just to get a littlebit of the perfume of the ginger liquidinto my sauce you then take that samerub you made earlier and you put a wholelot of it into your sauce I would saythis is probably about three tablespoonsworth of rub you stir that in there realgood so get it all combined and then yougo in with your tomato paste I’ve beenthat in some vinegar to the glaze thepan and that’s gonna be the lastingredient before we add any water thewhole point of this process is to createa nice base layer for your sauce this isactually what’s gonna give your saucebody and texture well now that our pasteis fully incorporated I’m gonna go aheadand add in the water this is about twocups of water I’ll let this whole saucemixture cook for about 45 minutesinitially I’ll bring it to a high boiland once it gets there then I’ll bringit down to a very low boil youdefinitely want the sauce to reduce abit so you want a bit of that boilingaction oh yeah look at that barbecuesauna I would definitely pay some moneyto be in there so I take my ribs out ofthe oven and I cut the package over witha knife revealing this beautiful mess ofribs look at thatthe rub has started to dry out a bit andit’s getting nice in Columbia that’s allflavor right there so you don’t want tomess withand now for some sexy food porn Idrizzle my sauce all over the ribs niceand gently then I take the spoon and Igo ahead and spread the sauce all overif you have a brush you can use that ofcourse but I don’t have one so I have togo with the spoon the whole point hereis to cover the ribs and sauce on bothsides to then put it back in the ovenand finish the ribs with the finalglazing process all right after about 10minutes out of high broiler these ribsare basically ready to go look at manthis is just so good you can’t go wrongwith these I don’t care if there’s anysmoke on here I don’t care if it’s notfrom a real barbecue place this tastesreally good no one’s gonna tell meotherwise at this point you basicallyjust want to slice your ribs and cutthem into single or double bone piecesand then just serve them here’s a littlebit more food point at me drizzlingsauce at the end just to finish them offand get them real nice and pretty youdon’t think I was going to end thisvideo without showing you
