[Music]by all thank you for tuning in to savorthis from the team at savor recipes I’mTara bench from Tara teaspoon today I’mexcited to be part of savers food castsaver this I’ll be showing you how tomake barbecue chicken and vegetablesthey’re in foil packets and this dinnercouldn’t be easier so let’s get startedI’m going to start prepping myingredients I’m going to start with thechicken these are my chicken hands so Ihave little tongs then I don’t have totouch my chicken so I have two chickenbreasts chicken breasts these days areso big I like to cut mine in half tofeed my family of four or if you havehungry people in your family you canserve whole chicken breasts make thisrecipe your own and start with thechicken so I have a large chicken breasthere boneless skinless and I like to cutit in half diagonally then I get twolittle chicken breasts it’s kind ofperfectso let’s set this chicken aside for aminute and we’ll do our vegetables okayI have a new clean cutting board and anew clean knife first thing I’m going todo is do my bell peppers you can usegreen or red bell peppers or any coloryou want so during this time grocerystores may be a little sparse with whatyou can get so be open to whatever isavailable and whatever suits yourfamily’s tastes so with this you can cutthe pepper into rings or strips I kindof like little strips so I’m going tocut around those seeds and cut the whiterib out discard that and you can justcut nice slices that will go on top ofyour chicken in these foil packets nowif you’re serving for people you’llprobably use an entire pepper like Isaid I’m just making two today so I’mjust going to use part of that pepper Ilike to cut these in a little smallerpiecesso let’s do that and we’ll put it in mylittle vegetable bowl right here setthat aside I already have some greenpeppers cut if we want to add greenpeppers to the next thing I’m going todo is cut the scallions I like to usethe white and the green parts ofscallions or green onions they have alot of flavor and the green makes abeautiful color addition that looks goodthe next thing I’m going to do ispotatoes let me put these in a littleBowl so if you have big potatoes you cancut them in half and slice them and useabout one per packet but I’m gonna usesome nice small ones today so let’s dotwo small potatoes wilee little thingsand I use a mandolin and then I have mypotatoes ready for my package these areready my peppers are ready my greenonions are ready and I have my barbecuesauce so let me clean up and we’llassemble our packets alright we’re goingto assemble our barbecue chicken packetI have squares of tinfoil that are 12 by12 you can make them a little bigger alittle smaller but 12 by 12 seems to bea great size so I have my chicken righthere first thing I do going to pick upone piece of chicken and put it right inthe middle let’s do two at a timeseesee then they’ll be done now I liketo salt and pepper my chicken chickenalways needs a little seasoning I usekosher salt you can use sea salt you canuse regular salt whatever you have and alittle pepper okay now comes thebarbecue sauce use any barbecue sauceyou have it can be homemade orstore-bought about a tablespoon ofbarbecue sauce and you can brush it onI’m just going to use the back of myspoonthat looks great now because I touch thechicken with my spoon and I put it backin this barbecue sauce you won’t want touse that barbecue sauce again unless itgets cooked peppers I’m going to do amix of red and green peppers on mychicken I think it looks pretty and it’sfun to get different colors ofvegetables in your meal then the nextthing is one potato each now remember Idid two potatoes so you’ll just arrangeyour slices of potatoes right there onthe chicken and they look so pretty setit right on top add a little more saltand pepper and if you’ve got a spicecupboard full of spices feel free toplay around with this any addition ofspices maybe some dried basil oreganomarjoram or even a little sprinkling ofthyme or rosemary would be great now I’mgoing to add a little bit of green oniongreen onion goes on add as much aslittle as you like oh they’re going allover kitchen cleanup later all right toassemble these packets I’m going tobring one side up to meet the other sideand fold it over once or twice is fineand then I’m gonna roll these ends thatmakes a little airtight packet that willsteam and it cooks the chicken andvegetables perfectly these foil packetsgo on a baking sheet and into the ovenat about 375 for 30 minutes easy easyhands off and then we’re gonna put somecheese on all right my chicken packetshave been in the oven for about 30minutes they just came out now we’regoing to add our cheese so I havecheddar cheese here you can use yourfavorite kind of cheese I like cheddarwith my barbecue sauce and I’m justgoing to grate this cheese for fourpackets you’ll need about 2 cups ofcheddar cheeseI have my grated cheese and about half acup goes on each packet so my hotpackets are right here I’m going togently open up the packet you can dothis with tongs if you want to and theylook perfectly cooked so delicious halfa cup of cheese on each and we’re goingto put them back in the oven and meltthat cheeseokay just goes in the oven for a fewminutes and it’ll be melty and ready toeatall right the packets just came out ofthe oven the cheese is melty and itlooks so delicious I’m gonna put it onmy plate now each person gets their owndinnerlook how cheesy and delicious that islet’s try it I need a little ofeverything in one biteso good I can taste the barbecue sauceall the vegetables perfectly seasonedeasy dinner barbecue chicken thank youfor watching I hope you had as much funas I did you can get the full recipe viathe direct link in the details on
