Easy Oven Baked Chicken Thighs with Homemade BBQ sauce

This oven baked chicken thighs recipe is so easy and yet so good! It’s a perfect family dinner idea and the homemade bbq sauce is quick and easy too.

Chicken:
6 chicken thighs (skin on)
all purpose seasoning
cumin
garlic powder
cayenne pepper
coconut oil
BBQ Sauce:
ketchup
coconut sugar
apple cider vinegar
salt
pepper
garlic powder

[Music]hi everyone welcome to my kitchen andthank you so much for stopping by mychannel so today I’m gonna be makingoven baked barbecued chicken thighs nowmy family really loves these chickenthighs and they’re so easy to make I allyou do is season them put them in theoven and then once they’re almost doneyou’re just gonna base them withbarbecue sauce there’s a perfectweeknight meal when you don’t have a lotof time so stay tuned for my oven bakedbarbecue chicken thighs recipe so I’mfirst preheating my oven to 400 degreeswhen cooking 6 chicken thighs and onkeeping on the skin so that it gets niceand crispy while it’s baking in aseparate bowl I’m adding 3 tablespoonsof an all-purpose seasoning about 2teaspoons of cayenne pepper about 1teaspoon of cumin and about 2tablespoons of garlic powder and thenI’m just mixing it all together if youdon’t have an all-purpose seasoning youcan use some salt and pepperbefore seasoning the chicken I’m gonnaPat them dry just to make sure that thechicken pads will cook nice and crispyI’m using paper towel here so if it getstoo wet just get a new one to continuepatting the skin dryso now I’m gonna mix the chicken intothe seasoning and make sure that each ofthem are well coated here’s my bakingpan and I’m gonna brush some coconut oilonto my pan you can use whatever oil youchoose but I really like the flavor thatcoconut oil gives the chicken so that’swhy I’m using it here so I’m adding thethighs to the pan skin side up firstthese are going in the oven for 20minutes per side in the meantime I’mgoing to make the barbecue sauce this isa half a cup of ketchup two tablespoonsof coconut sugar one tablespoon of applecider vinegar about one tablespoon ofgarlic powder a dash of salt and a dashof pepper and I’m gonna use my littlewhisk here to whisk it all togetheronce you finish whisking the barbecuesauce you can give it a taste to see ifit’s to your liking if not you can addmore sugar or salt or apple cidervinegar to suit your taste20 minutes is past so I’m gonna turn thethighs on to the other side and placethem back into the oven for another 20minutes we’re gonna have this for dinnertonight so I’m also making some minipotatoes in a pan with some olive oiland dry oregano this is gonna cook forabout 20 minutes until fork tenderI’m also steaming some broccoli as aside dish 20 minutes has passed so I’mflipping the sides with the skin side upand then I’m brushing on the barbecuesauce I only brushed the barbecue sauceon the skin side because I think that’senough barbecue sauce for us but it’s upto you if you want to brush both sidesand it goes back into the oven for 10more minutesand here they are these barbecued sidesare well-seasoned even before thebarbecue sauce and with the barbecuesauce they’re kicked up a notch withflavor these are crispy on the outsideand tender on the inside the perfectbaked barbecue chicken pies so if youmake these chicken thighs let me knowhow it goes in the comments below and ifyou like my meal ideas don’t forget toLike and subscribe until next time takecare
