Ration Review: BBQ Pork Rib from Dub C

hey guys what in this episode of historysaber 1941 don’t forget to Like shareand subscribe and we’re gonna take youalong on a little adventure today as weexplore a historic location all right sowe got something cool here to check outand the place where en is very historicthis was a town at one point and SouthAlabama and you can see this is thefoundation of the remains of the firstcourthouse check this out this is verycoolyeahalright so we just walked away from thecourthouse remains that’s right therewe’re making our way into the old townof the lately Alabama this was the townsquareour pool information affair is here butwhen someone was convicted at thecourthouse of a crimethe punishment that man was paying thoseindividuals were brought from thecourthouse whenever they were convictedtakingthrough the square of the town andoverbought to this spot which is thehanging tree well I’m telling you theall this walking and hiking todaythrough the woods yes and the 90s heretoday so it’s very hot but it’s got mereally hungry the bad part is is I’m notburning anything with me you know I wishI coulda bought a MRE with me hold onwe’re getting a phone call well just onesecond packageoff so yeah that was a little weird butwe have this package here and and yeahso we got a package in from dub C but Isent up C a package a couple weeks agoand he sent me a package as well andthis is a little collaboration betweenme and dub C and this is what we gotfrom dub C I have not opened it yet andyou can actually go and watch dub C’svideo on my package today on his channeland if pattyoh cool I’ve never had either one ofthese I’ve had a jalapeno beef patty butI’ve never had a pork rib and I believethis is the one that I’m going to tryout right now and I’m also going to tryout I can’t help myself I got to try outthis lemon lime energy gel so we’regonna do that as well and the rest ofthis stuff we’re going to save you’llsee this right out through the channelat different times and we’ll also throwsome of this in our camping equipment orhiking equipment and we’re out we willhave something quickly get to so let’sget into itokay we switch cameras here just to makesure we get everything we need andeverything is focused again we’re gonnatry the lemon lime energy gel and themenu number two pork grilled and we’regonna go ahead and get this stuff outand get it going water so we havethat pocketand then also carry a biscuit usuallyand serves the purpose of anything thatwe may need so we’re gonna go ahead weare going to open up our mess kit andthis is a what we’re – miss kit andinside I always keep a splendid Fork andthen I have some extra stuff wipesmatches toilet paper that kind of dealbut we’re not gonna need this so I’mgonna stick this back in my bag andwe’re going to take this energy gel outof this ziplock bag well he’s got adouble ziploc bag very cool package thatdoes see a sentence again I cannot thankhim enough for all the support he givesthis us here ration does not have thebag wrapped around it like a lot of themdo let the first thing to come out isyour Oh clam chowder nice I’ve neverseen that in the ration that’s cooltoffee cookies man that sounds awesomewe’ve got our spinwe have some beverages outercarbohydrate electrolyte lemon-limeflavored my favorite flavor there we gowe have some regular cheese spread wehave some weeks net bread we haveanother week snack bread so I’ll onlyguess that they want you to make asandwich we have our accessory packcheck it out it’s got a bottle ofTabasco in here I’m wearing this is likefrom a 2004 period Russian I don’t knowwhat check it out the minutehere’s your frh or flameless rationheater here’s your hot beverage bag andhere is your imitation bonus pork reelso it’s not real important but we hopeis his imitation but uh still prettycool so and then we have our course onthe line energy gel that we added tothis to try out um in our accessorypacket and apparently be in good shapethis is an odor rash and I can tell justby the coloration on the inside of thoseitems here and by the components inthese especially with the basket thebasket can’t give it awaywoo well there’s a very very weird smellthat comes out of this ration WowAlvis accessory packet bag well I know Ican’t place it it’s weirdyou got some Taster’s Choice Rat Packcoffee okay some creamer non-dairy dryout a lot of salt dominoes shiver it’spretty cool to see domino sugar againyou have some Tabasco you have some gumyour moist towelette your toilet paperfrom lighthouse toilet paper and a packof white tip matches I guess that’s whyeach oh yeah okay so we’ll sit all thisright here to the Sun and we’ll keepgoing alright so the first thing we wantto do is first thing we want to do isget ourrent open here oh wowhere we go there’s your wheat flatbreadmmm smells kind of still maybe it’s goodgot a little weird smell to it wellwe’ll see here’s some more weeks thatbread I get that out yeah well so cakedo we have our cheese spread we’ll sitit right there we have our beveragepowder and carbohydrate women limeflavor we got this stuff open up and youcan tell it’s kind of Kate only I saw ita little bit but it smells just likeGatoradematter of fact I’m wondering if this isjittery it smells just like when thelong jittery we’re gonna get that ain’tyou the truck vessel you can never getand you can see it inside we’re gonnaget us some waterpour water in should be good all rightset that right there we give thesturdiest a second got some toffeecookies and these feel like they werecoming out and pieces so I just want toclear a spot here for that oh there arelittle cookies oh that’s coolthat smells awesome post really smellgood I can’t wait to try these out Ismell awesome we have our pork rib hereand we are going to place it in our frhthis pillar up and where we’re at todayis very beautiful out here verybeautiful there are people roamingaround though yeah we’ve got our waterend and I’m just going to take the porkrib out of the cardboard here it ison a cardboard in my bag we’re gonnatake and throw the pork rib inside ofthe frh okay we got the pork rib inthere but we’re not done we have alsogot this clam chowder that we’re goingto take and place in there as wellhere’s our clam chowder never had clamchowder in the ration so I’m uh I’m kindof skeptical about this one but weshould see maybe it’d be good this is avery cool here we goso we got everything in here we’re gonnaset her to the Sun and let us do thisthing and see if it takes off we haveour lemon-lime energy gel that we addedto this ration and we also have ourcoffee and our creamer non-dairy ourtoilet paper towel and Tabasco we’regonna try that out how do I salt andsugarnow this coffee I think I’m going tosave just because I’m outside I’ve beenout on foot I only bought one canteenone cup so I’ve got my lemon-lime drinkin there so we’re gonna save that and dothat on another reviewprobably whenever we do dump sees otherration that he sent me so this is verycool manthis is awesome this is like one of theration sets now crossed off my bucketlistwas the pork real but the clam chowderwas a surprise so we’ve got our winnerline drink it here now or what you likepowder we’re gonna give that spirit andagain when it was coming out it wascaked up but it should still be fine tosmell it’s just like Gabourey looks likeGatorade to mark this is Gatorbut uh here we go let’s give it a trywow that’s really good now it does havea slight taste of pickle juice for somereason that’s what it reminds me of hispickle juice I don’t know it could justbe me but um we also have these cookiestoffee cookies and these things smellamazing let’s uh let’s get one of thesea try oh wowthose are amazing oh man I think I justfound a new favorite in the ration I’venever seen these either I’ve never seenthese either and they have just anamazing taste psycho tastes like a sugarcookie but it’s uh got a strong toffeeflavor to it and it’s not too sweet it’sjust right well I’m gonna end up eatingall these um you know what we have hereis our wheat snack bread I have somecheese spread so I’m going to take I’mgoing to use one of these ooh look atthatyeah the oil is definitely separatedfrom my cheese Wowyou can see the oil just boy pouring outof here let me see if I can’t get rid ofsome of this oh wow oh ohcan you tell that to the left of thecamera Wow let’s uh let’s get a dab inwith some wheat snap the snack breadokay yeah I believe it cheese’s ohthat’s still pretty look at the oilseparation and this is the reason whyyou’re supposed to need the cheese Ifail to do that to read the oil back inand if you do not do that this is whatcan happen I’m not saying it will happenbut it can and in this case it did tothem utmost extent so we’re gonna stillgive this a tasteOhthe breads a little stale but stilledible and the cheeses that actuallydoesn’t taste that badum I’ll put a little bit more on herejust to give us a bigger taste rangeJesus no that’s not bad um has a littlecookie taste so it’s a littlecattywampus on the taste but it’s notbad the breads a little stale butnowhere near not edible so yeah it heldup decently fine if I had to guess thisis somewhere around 2003 2004 ration Icould not find a date code on this thingfor some reason I mean I felt looking onpacks but they they taste really good soit’s not been but if I had to guess andI may be wrong and if I am you guyscould correct me in the comments becauseI’m just guessing here I want to see ifI get it rightI’m thinking this as a 2003 2004 recipeanyway the other problem we’re havingright now is that frh has not taken offso looks like we’re gonna be eatin somecold food but that’s okayI’m sure they had to do that and Ifilled many times yeah it’s not evenwrong this thing is to put yep theration is here is gone soon we’re goingto take we’re gonna eat these cold justlike they would have done in the filmnow if you think about it we’re rationhistory has taken a turn from our techand the Civil War Revolutionary War anyparts corn coffee made of basically dirtand tree bort to where rations are nowit’s a dramatic change it’s very cool tothink about that whatever you put moneyis open I’m taking out a fort real gonnaused to eat tree bark coffee or a drinktree bark coffee and let’s you knowworked outthere we go Wowthat looks like some ribs fromMcDonald’s reminds me of a McRibsandwich I thought I yeah very very coolso we are we’re gonna get our clamchowder out next not fighting a big anton the table beer it’s okay so we’regonna cut up in our clam chowder oh manlook at that yeah I don’t know aboutthat okay Wow I don’t know about thatbut we do have our pork real here wellit’s pretty good you can see thebarbecue sauce on it it’s glistening atus lissa let’s give this a bike holyMoses nice goodyeah if you guys have ever had to makerib sandwich for McDonald’s that’sexactly what this thing tastes likeexactly almost to the tee and I’m goingto get a piece of the sweet snack breadand try a piece of this real with it ohoh good deal guyswe have our the only problem I’ll havewhat a sweet snap burn and it’s nomatter how much it’s you it’s always dryI don’t know what it is about this stuffit just keeps us panning hmm okay so toport real man two thumbs up that stuffis goodlimit line drink tastes a little off butit’s still really good the cookies manthey get 5 thumbs up if I could thosethings are really good at toffee cookiesthe cheese was nice hanging in there andthe weeks that bread is hanging there aswell now what I have not tried is thisclam chowder which is supposed to beheated up it’s not because they’re frhconked out on usbut you can see the clam in this stuffit’s got some spices I’m not for surewhat that is potatoes and let’s give ita whiff oh it doesn’t smell tooappetizing I’m not going out wide but weare gonna try it so uh pray for me ohyeahthat’s definitely going rancid guys umwe just ate some 20-year old clamchowder yeahthat’s not good um okay the clam chowderis bit to dust I’m not going to try it Idon’t want to make myself sick and it’sgonerest in peace clam chowder but this richand except for the clam chowder has beenabsolutely amazing I’m actually gonnasave these cookies and I’m gonna eat therest a real bi thing but what I reallywant to try is this lemon lime energygel that was a proponent at dub cenisand dupsy sent us in as a component inthe box of goodies and I’ve never hadthis and I’m really excited to try it sowhat we’re gonna do is I’m just gonnabreak it open here at the top and I’mgonna eat this stuff like it wassupposed to be eaten just squirt it intoyour mouth but this would it looks likeit’s just kind of clear but uh let’sgive it againit tastes exactly like one minutesqueeze Candis has a texture of asqueeze candy but tastes like Gatoradeit’s pretty good it does remind me ofthe thickening stuff that you can buy itat pharmacies for people who havetrouble swallowingThicket or something like that that’sexactly what this reminds me of wellit’s not badokay well well that’s done I’m all donewith that and doesn’t my limo I’m drinkice wash that down and it tastes justlike eating jelly basically if he was asquirt jelly in your mouth that’s whatthe texture and the taste is really likehis lemon lime chili umArchana is a gel and it does tastepretty deeper and good but uh yeah I’vegot this bottle of hot sauce but if hecan look inside it’s all gone itsevaporated and that’s just hardness youcan’t even see it moving so there’s nosense of me opening this up I’m actuallygonna save this bottle for display sinceit is on the open even though there’snothing in it so I’m on sickness back inthere lots of goodies over here that’sgoing webbyand guys do not forget to check out myfriend up see give him
