Homemade Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce: How to make Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce

In today’s Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce Video, I explain step by step how to make a Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce! Kansas City Style BBQ sauce is very sweet and goes EXCELLENT on pork ribs!!!

Ingredients:
Ketchup
Dark or light brown sugar
Honey
Apple cider vinegar
Liquid smoke
Molasses
Sweet paprika
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Ground mustard
Pepper
Hickory salt
Dark chili powder

Stir until ingredients are dissolved over medium heat. Simmer 10-15 min. Pour into a mason jar and store in refrigerator. Prepare 2-3 days before serving.

[Music]yo what’s up everybody this is Boyd JBwith JB’s barbecuing guns coming aty’all again with another BBQ sauce videotoday’s video is gonna be a Kansas Citystyle barbecue sauce now a Kansas Citystyle barbecue sauce is on the sweeterside of things okay but before we getinto it if you’re new to my channel goahead and hit that subscribe button andhit that Bell next to it so you don’tmiss any uploads in the near future I’llmeet y’all at the stove let’s get rightinto it oh yeah let’s get right intothis sauce and just keep in mind as withany recipe you can tweak it how you wantto so that you can make it how youwanted to taste let’s go ahead and getright into it so first things first Ialways cook your sausage over mediumheat and the first ingredient that we’regonna put in there just some ketchup allright now we’re gonna put some lightbrown sugar in here all right nextinstead of putting honey here I’m gonnaput something this of agave nectar inthere it’s really good stuff reallyreally sweet about a quarter cup or soapple cider vinegar molasses and youwant to put some liquid smoke in therejust a cat food all right now you wantto get this out stir it up until allthat sugar and everything getscompletely dissolved alright now that wehave the sugar all dissolved now we’regonna go ahead and start adding in ourdry ingredients so the first ingredientI have is some sweet paprika and you canuse smoked paprika or whatever you wantto use but today we’re gonna use sweetsome ground mustard some white peppersome onion powder some garlic powderand some Hickory so some dark chilipowder and I’m going to add in just alittle bit of cayenne pepper just forsome kick oh yeah we’ve got the sauceoff of the fire and I’m gonna let itcool down for just a little bit okaybefore we put it into the mason jar butI want y’all to see how nice and smooththis consistency is that’s exactly how Isupposed to look just like that nice andsmooth as opposed to where our othersauces where we had fresh ingredients wedon’t have to put this one into theblender so we’ll just let this onesimmer down for just a little bit andthen we’ll put it in a mason jar andthen we’ll be finished oh yeah now we’regoing to go ahead and get this sauceinto the mason jar so just make sure yoube careful pouring it no big deal takeyour time no rushing and this is a16-ounce jar so you can kind ofguesstimate how much you want to makeall right yo this is the final productof our Kansas City style barbecue sauceright hereand I can tell you right now it isdelicious John is the absolute truththat nice sweet consistency goesexcellent with some ribs on so whenyou’re making your ribs the last 10 15minutes brush some of this on there andlet it get settled in you’ll have someexcellent real alright y’all so as wealways say this is your boy JB with JB’sbarbecuing guns and y’all be easy peace
