Mojo Pork Roast recipe below!

In a super easy and genius way to use leftovers from our lakehouse, I created this delicious casserole, layered with cheese and tater tots! To make it even easier, you’re more than welcome to use shredded pork from the store in this, but this pork roast was too good not to share the recipe with! This really is one of the best I’ve made in a while, so I’m so happy to share it with all of you! Enjoy!

Mojo Pork Roast Recipe

Ingredients:

1 8-10 lb. Pork roast
1 head of garlic, separated and peeled
3 limes, juiced
4-5 oranges, juiced
2 tbsp. Olive oil
Kosher Salt
1 tsp. Oregano
1/2 tsp. Cumin

Get a large roasting pan for the roast. With a sharp knife, make little slices all over the roast to put garlic cloves in (no parts of the clove sticking out) Smash 6-8 cloves of garlic with 1 tsp. salt making a paste, working your knife back and forth over the garlic salt combination. Add to the juice of the citrus fruit. Add the olive oil and spices. Whisk to combine. Pour over the roast (skin side down) in your pan. Cover and marinate for 12-24 hours turning once half way through. Take out of fridge and let rest 1 hour before. Pour a half a cup of water in the bottom of the pan and Making sure fat side is down again roast in a preheated 325 degree oven for one hour. Tent roast with foil after one hour and cook another 7-8 hours or until roast is 170 degrees. Let rest before serving and enjoy!!

hi you guys welcome back to the cremekitchen we had a great week last weekwe’re in South Dakota at our lake househad a ton of food prepared a lot gotsome on video for you but I thought it’dbe fun to take some of the leftovers ofwhat I made which hint hint I’ll justtell ya I made the most amazing Cubanpork roast recipe will be included withthis and it fed a crowd okay so I have abunch left over I use the Moho saucefrom our Cuban class that we did here atcreme so I can send that recipe to youor you can just buy the cookbook and getit yourself I have a ton left over so Ithought I’d do something kind ofinteresting with it it took me a while Ireally don’t know what I’m doing Ava canattest to that right Eva I’m gonna makethe most amazing cowgirl casserole andI’m gonna call it barbecued pork cowgirlcasserole because I got a lot of cowgirlin this can’t you tell this is forGrandma now it’s the joint Channel[Music]come on Graham so Frannie has issueswith miss olive clearly chomps big lugyeah but she laid down with them andthis is what happens she what’s nothingto do with her look at the poor crowsyeah not just on top here yeah you knowwhat I’ve seen that before it’s prettyinteresting you can make garlic paste byjust putting salt and some garlic and uhgive it some marinade in this lovelyfragrant sauce I agree[Music][Music]to begin with for a very long time I’vehad my own bait beam or barbeque beingrecipe that I’ve done for years my planis to kind of incorporate that into abarbecue pork beans are gonna make itharder ER and then I’m gonna layer itwith cheese of course and then sometater tots I’m gonna get it nice andcrispy in the oven to begin with I’vegot about three or four pieces ofthick-cut bacon and I’m gonna dice it upand put it in my pan it’s over mediumheatokay start to let the bacon render downI’m gonna get about a quarter cup thirdof a cup of diced onion in with my baconbecause honestly the only thing thatsmells better than bacon is onion withthe bacon I’m gonna say we’re gonna beabout closer to a third of a cup but ifyou love onion add more in let’s talkbeans hereI call these van de Kamp but they’re notpronounced van de Kampthey’re called van camps okay but I grewup on these and that’s what I alwayscalled them so I’m still gonna call Mattthat’s why I’m using them really it’sjust pork and beans I mean growing up mydad would take a pound of hamburger totown in half salt pepper maybe a littlegarlic powder and then just pour thesebeans in it and then that would bedinner I literally grew up on this okayso see all that tomato sauce in there wego like this I like to get that part outcuz I like to flavor these beans myselfnow let’s go check our baconand there’s that smell I was talkingabout are we draining any of that bacongrease Noso once the onions soften I’m gonna addmy can of Van de Kamp baked beans andthen we’re to add all the otheringredients in the meantime I’m gonnastart getting my pulled pork or my Cubanpork roast I’m gonna start pulling themeat from it and getting it out andready to go because I’m gonna add thistowards the end I turn the temperaturedown to medium-low because we’re gonnalet these beans simmer with the onionsand the bacon and get all the flavorstogether but at the same time I’m goingto add my other ingredients so this iswhere my whole being recipe can’t comesinto playwe’ll start with 2 teaspoons ofWorcester Shire and then I’m gonna addtwo teaspoons of mustard we’ll say aquarter cup of ketchup and then I’mgonna add a nice teaspoon teaspoon and ahalf of your favorite rib rub and youknow mineand I do like a little sweetness so nextI’m gonna add a tablespoon of dark brownsugarwe’re gonna cover this for a bit andjust let it simmer for about two orthree minuteswell the beans are simmering I’m gonnachop up some of my leftover Cuban porkroast we measured this out it’s about apound and a half anywhere from a poundand a half to a pound and a half and alittle bit more will be just fine we’rejust gonna plop these right into thepanelnow that I’m eyeballing what we have inour pot I’m going to say we need aboutweird start with a third of a cup ofbarbecueI’m gonna use my Famous Dave’s I’m goingto get that in there and then we’regonna let this simmer for about anotherfive to ten minutesby the way I’ve had my oven preheated to350 degreescasserole dish nine by 13 this is yourbest friend when making a casseroleright so we’re just gonna put thislovely cowgirl mixture in our 9 by 13pan thank you I know it really isglorious right two kinds of cheeses youknow I like to mix it up okay one isgoing to be pre-shredded you know I’mnot a fan but it’s Velveeta it’s hard toget it that processed cheese smallenough into small enough pieces to makeit even so I do like to buy thatshredded so we’re gonna do that on topof some grated medium cheddar so let’sget about so that’s eight ounces I’minto about four ounces of cheddar it’sabout half that medium cheddar going onhot and heavy right now layering it withour Velveeta I’ve had my tater tots outbecause I want them partially thawed andthey’re probably doing pretty good herenow I’m gonna layer it like this I’mkind of a stickler for things being evenso I’m gonna get these all laid out youcan dump them on and just press them inif you want but I’m gonna do it likethis and I’ll be right backthis is how my baking dish looks now ohgood it’s beautiful I’m gonna add onelast thing just a touch a sprinkle toflavor these tater tots with our rib rubthe same seasoning we put in our beansand our pork lightly just sprinkle rightover the top sprinkle highs Frankel high[Music]okay into the oven 350 degrees uncoveredwe want this nice and golden brown ontop and bubbly all around the edges Ibelieve a good amount of time for thiscasserole to be in the oven is 35 to 40minutes and it’s just been 35 minutes solet’stake a look if you want your tater totscrispier I suggest leaving it in justtwo about the 40-minute mark okaycrispy as you want it so hot I want youto let this sit for a few minutes beforeyou serve all right its own okay we havemy gorgeous son Lucas gorgeous this ishis girlfriend Kelly is he gorgeous yeahshe is the epitome of gorgeous okaythey have a bow said they will try mycasserole I think they’ll like it so digin and it’s hot so blowso we chimes on camera people bite intoit and they’re like put hot so now Ihave to warn and they sign a waiver andthen I got to get insurance and all thatyeah this is a paid endorsement by cremede la creme Omaha no you guys thank youso much for watching love
