INGREDIENTS

To Marinate the Wings

2 lbs, Chicken Wings
1 tbsp, Canola Oil
1 tsp, Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp, Black Pepper
1 tsp, Smoked Paprika

For the Barbecue Sauce

1 cup, Ketchup
2 tsp, Hot Sauce (I used Tabasco but you can use your favourite)
1 tsp, Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup, Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 cup, Brown Sugar
1 tsp, Smoked Paprika
1/2 tsp, Cayenne Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp, Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp, Onion Powder
1 tsp, Instant Coffee
Salt and Pepper to taste

For the Creamy Parmesan Garlic Dipping Sauce

1/2 cup, Plain Yogurt
1/2 cup, Mayonnaise
1/2 cup, Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
1 clove of Garlic, finely grated
Salt and Pepper to taste

METHOD

Preheat oven to 400F on Convection Bake.

In a large bowl mix wings together with all ingredients for marination (oil, salt and pepper, smoked paprika) until evenly coated.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange wings ensuring not to crowd the pan. Use a second baking sheet if you don’t have enough space on the first.

Bake wings for 35 minutes, turning once half way through baking to ensure the wings get browned on all sides.

Combine all ingredients for barbecue sauce in a small saucepan and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat stirring consistently, until a rich dark sauce forms. Remove from heat.

Place baked wings in a large bowl, top with barbecue sauce, and toss to coat.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and arrange sauced wings on top in one even layer. Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the wings have slightly darkened and begin to crackle.

Stir all ingredients for creamy parmesan garlic dipping sauce in a bowl and hold in fridge until ready to serve.

Remove wings from the oven, arrange on a platter, and serve alongside dipping sauce. Enjoy! 🙂

[Music]hey you guys it’s Jay and welcome backto my channel in today’s video I’m gonnashow you how to make my favourite smokyspicy barbeque chicken wings with aparmesan garlic dipping sauce and youguys this is the very same sauce thatyou get when you go out for wings I’mgonna show you how to make them at homeI love this recipe because the wings aretangy they’re spicy they’re sweetthey’re a little bit of everything andthere’s such a crowd-pleaser during thesummer months trust me your friends aregoing to love them but before we getstarted don’t forget to subscribe to ourchannel if you like what you see and ofcourse if you’re looking for the fullrecipe all you got to do is click thatinfo box under the video and everythingyou need is there let’s make some wingsso the very first thing that you want todo is straight out the gate is topre-heat your oven so mine is preheatedto 400 degrees Fahrenheit and we’redoing a convection bake today because wewant that hot air to circulate aroundthe wing and Brown it evenly next up Ihave 2 pounds of wings both winglets anddrumettes you can do either/or and we’regonna season them up so the first thingI’m going to do is drizzle in a littlebit of oil you can use any sort ofneutral or look that you wantI’m using canola today but you can userapeseed or vegetable oil we’re gonnasee them up generously with salt cracksof black pepper and now we’re going touse a seasoning that’s going to be inour barbecue sauce and that is smokedpaprika and I love the color of smokedpaprika it also has a beautiful smokyflavor and we’re gonna top this alltogether to cope[Music]and now I’m just gonna lay out mychicken wings making sure not to crowdthe pan this is so important because youdon’t want your wings to steam you wantthem to crisp up nicely so if you haveto do this on two separate sheet traysgo ahead and do that and we’re justgonna lay them out like so and here yougo this is what they look like whenthey’re on the baking trays as you mayhave noticed I used to and now we’regonna pop them into the oven for 35minutes and halfway through the bakingprocess I’m gonna flip them over onceand let them brown on the other side aswellwhile our wings are baking away we’regonna create our smoky spicy barbecuesauce and it could not be simpler tomake we’re literally gonna take all ofthese ingredients put it in a pan andsimmer it for five minutes and we’redone okay so the base for our barbecuesauce is ketchup I also have a littlebit of Worcestershire some chipotle hotsauce you can use whatever hot sauce youhave in your fridge I just love thetaste of Chipotle because it’s nice andsmoky we have some balsamic vinegarwhich is gonna add a lovely acidity anda whole host of spices so in addition tothe sweetness and acidity of thebalsamic vinegar I’m also gonna add alittle bit of brown sugar which is gonnagive us that sort of molasses II kind offlavor a little bit of smoked paprikacayenne chili onion powder garlic powderand get this you guys our secretingredient instant coffee powder whowould have ever thought but thecombination of the smoked paprika withthe coffee is such a winner theycomplement each other so well and takethe smokiness to the next level[Music]so I just pulled my barbecue sauce offthe stove five minutes that’s all ittook you guys and I pulled my chickenwings out of the oven as well andthey’ve been hanging for a bit we’regonna switch these two things togetherbut before we do I have a spoon becauseI want to taste this barbecue sauce andsee where we’re atso here goes mmm so good smoky spicytangy and I can taste that coffee comingthrough as well so now what we’re gonnado is put these chicken wings in a bigbowl top them off with this barbecuesauce and give them a nice toss then I’mgonna put them on a lined baking sheetwe’re gonna bake them for about 10minutes until a nice crusty glaze formsall over the top while my wings arefinishing up we’re gonna create thecreamy Parmesan garlic dipping saucepersonally my favorite part of any wayexperience and it’s literally going totake one minute to make let’s go so I’mgonna make this sauce in real timebecause I want to show you how fast itis to make so we’re starting off withabout a 1/2 cup of plain yogurt I’mgonna go in with the same amount ofmayonnaise and that’s gonna form ourcreamy base next up I’m gonna grate in aclove of garlic you can do a second clubif you really really love garlic but Ifind that this is just enough for me somy garlic has accumulated at the back ofthe microplane I’m just gonna give it atap and it goes next up some Parmesancheese you want about half a cup and Ilike using it from a block like thisbecause it just tastes so so good andit’s just gonna reign in like snow therewe go that’s about half a cup now alittle sprinkle of salt a little bit ofcrackfresh black pepper and you’re gonna givethis a mix and trust me when I say thisis going to be the best wing sauce youhave ever eaten and it only cametogether in a minutedelicious my wings just came out of theoven they smell so so good my sauce isready my mouth is watering so let’s gofor itlittle drum that those are my favoritesand I’m just gonna dunk into the sauceoh my gosh and give it a bite[Music]oh my gosh it was so good you know whatI’m gonna do once these videos over I’mliterally gonna turn off the camera sitdown in front of this pan and eat allthe wings they’re so so good I love thecombination of the cool dipping saucewith the hot wing and the dipping sauceitself is so creamy it has the nuttinessof the parmesan just the right hit ofgarlic and that black pepper finishes itoff perfectly and let’s talk wings thewings themselves are spectacular theyhave this beautiful crispy glaze on topand you get that crispness from that bitof brown sugar in there they’re smokythey’re tinny they’re sweet they’respicy they’re a little bit of everythingand these two things paired together arejust sensational and let me tell youthey’re gonna give your local 1. Favorite part of any Vijaya video is when you try it at the end.. ? I don’t know how so stay so thin!

  2. Looks so delicious! I’m confused about the texture of the ketchup you used, though… Doesn’t look as smooth & “runny” as the ketchup I’m used to.

  3. Oooo the sauce is a lovely idea. I made some sticky barbecue wings on my channel as well. Will try this sauce. Yum thanks

  4. Can’t wait to try this out! What kind of ketchup do you use? The reason I ask is it looks so thick and chunky, almost like spaghetti sauce.

  5. Hi! I’m from Brazil and I found your Channel behind the Prince Edward trip that you did before. Your channel is so good! Congrats! I hope you have a nice quarantine, stay at home?? God bless U, Jesus love U?
