Bulgogi is a classic Korean grilled beef dish. It’s so easy to make and delicious to eat. Tender pieces of juicy beef with sweet vegetables, this flavorful homemade BBQ Beef needs to make an appearance on your summertime dinner soon! You can grill it on the barbecue or on a stove-top griddle.

What to know about this Korean dish know as bulgogi. Pronounced “buul-GOH-ghee”, Bulgogi comes from bul (“fire”) and gogi (“meat”). Bulgogi is marinated grilled beef, of the highest quality possible, generally using sirloin, tenderloin, brisket, or rib eye with good fat marbling. In addition to beef, chicken and pork bulgogi are also one of the most common types of variations used to prepare this Korean dish. It is generally prepared in a sweet and savory sauce made of soy sauce, sugar, and Korean pear juice, then grilled on a barbecue or stove-top griddle, producing flavorful meat. Best marinate overnight so all the flavor has time to settle in the meat.

Ingredients for making Korean Beef Bulgogi:
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp sesame oil
1 cloves garlic minced
1/4 Asian pear grated
Black pepper and salt
3/4 lb sliced chuck steak
1 carrot
1/4 onion
Green onions
Sesame oil

Instructions for wow to make Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef) at home:
– First in a large bowl add all the following ingredients
– Brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and minced garlic
– Then grate in your asian pear
– Mix everything together
– Season with black pepper and salt
– Drop in your chuck steak slices into the bowl
– Followed by your thinly sliced carrot
– Then add your onion
– Mix everything together by hand
– Marinate for at least 30 minutes, best if overnight
– In a large skillet add your sesame oil over medium-high heat
– Cook the marinated meat in a single layer until cooked through, about 5 minutes
– Transfer the meat to the plate and sprinkle on some sesame seeds
– And now your Korean Bulgogi is ready to be served
