Potato wedges are the wedges of potatoes, often large and unpeeled, that are either baked or fried.
They are great as a side, appetizer, or even as a delicious snack on their own.
These make the perfect combo with Burger & Barbecue Sauce. They are usually seasoned with a variety of spices, commonly paprika, salt and pepper.
In Australia, potato wedges are a common bar food that are almost always served with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce.
One may also use ketchup, ranch, and honey mustard.
Ingredients – in same order as used in the video
Step 1 – Cutting and blanching of potatoes
• 4 large potatoes
• 1 tsp salt
Step 2 – Preparation of potato wedges for frying
• 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
• 2 tbsp corn flour
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp red chilli powder (kashmiri lal mirch)
• ½ tsp black pepper powder (kali mirch)
• 2 tsp oregano
• 1 tsp chilli flakes
Step 3 – Frying of potato wedges
• Oil for frying
