This is a super moist delicious recipe with a Spicy Blend of Indian + Korean + American spices Grilled Beef Skirt Steak. This recipe can be prepared on Grill, Stove Top Grill or Oven and on any Iron Griddle as well.

[Music]hello friends welcome back to my kitchentoday i’m going to show you anotherdeliciousrecipe on how to make beef skirtsthis part of the meat is extremely juicyextremelytender and perfect for barbecuing todayi’m going to usea blend of indian korean and americanspicesso keep watching my video for all theingredients that i will be using forthis recipecome along and i’m going to show you howto make this recipeso today i’m using beef skirtsthis is a package which i got fromcostcoand it comes about 4.5 pounds but todayi’m going to useonly two pounds for my recipeso let’s go ahead and open up thispackageso here i have my beef skirtand i measured it up to this is a totaloftwo pounds so i’m going to go ahead andthoroughly rinse offthis is a very beautiful piece of meatvery tenderjuicy and this we’re going tobarbecue this meatsoso here i have thoroughly washed my beefskirts i have also chopped them about10 inches longflaps so to this i’m going to go aheadand prepare a marinadeand i’ll show you the process for themarinadeso for today’s recipe i’m using a koreanpearif you don’t have access to this koreanpear you can also useany golden pear that is available inyour supermarket so i’m just going touse abouthalf of this korean pear therejust going to peel it upthis gives a very nice juicyflavor and texture to yourbeef scrubs[Music]so i’m just going to use only half of itjust take off the seeds in betweenroughly chop them because that thing isgoing to go in the blendernow here i’m also going to use only halfof the onionand i prefer to use white onion but youcan also use any onionthat you likejust half of itthis also goes in the blender we willalso requirejuice of one lemon so i’m just going togo ahead andsqueeze that in so here in my blenderjar i havemy roughly chopped korean pearas well as onions to this i’m going togo ahead and add about15 green chilies you can also reduce orincrease the level of spice that youlike for yoursteakabout 10 cloves of garlic2 inches of ginger i have cleaned andwashed itand here i’m taking fresh boxwood basilthis is for my garden but if you don’thave access to boxwood basin you canalso usesweet basiland i’ve also washed a handful ofcilantro which is acoriander as well so i’m just going toadd this to the blender jareverything is going to chop up very wellso to this blender jar i’m going to goahead and add abouttwo teaspoons of fennel seed powderthis gives a very nice flavor to thesteakone teaspoon of dry mango powder this iseasily available in yourindian grocery market or asian grocerymarketthat’s one teaspoonone teaspoon of black pepper powderabout one and a half teaspoon of saltfour tablespoons of white vinegarthat’s fournow we’ll also go ahead and squeeze ourlemon juiceto the jarthe citrus from the lemonthe vinegar and the dry mango powdergives a fabulous taste to the steak youmust give it a try now to this blenderjar we’re also going to go ahead and addabout half a cup of olive oilyou’re not going to use any water herethere goes half a cup of olive oilso we have all our ingredients here inthe blender jarso we’re going to go ahead and crush itinto a finepasteto this blender jar i’m also going toadd about oneteaspoon of cumin powderso we have all our ingredients here forthe marinade so we’ll just go ahead andcrush itso this marinade looks perfectso let’s just go ahead and set thisasideso just we’re going to go and go aheadand taste our marinade to make surethe salton this level of spices tastes perfectlygoodso this i would like to add a little bitof more olive oilso here i have a ziploc you can go aheadand add the meat to the ziplocso this is the best way to make sure allyourmarinade gets into the meatso we have our beef steak here so thisi’m going to add theprepared marinadethis marinade you can use for chickenbeefand shrimps as well works very good onthe barbecueso now i’m going to go ahead and removeall the airjust taking off out all the air from thepacket andi’m going to seal it up really wellit’s perfectly see now i’m just going tomassage the marinade into the meatso this is the best method so thateverything stays insideperfectly locked inand this you can prepare ahead of timeand also freeze itall right our marinade is perfectlysealed and locked with all the spices soi’m going to go ahead andmarinate this for overnight but at leastminimum six hours would be the bestresults all right friends we’ll comebackand i’ll show you once we startbarbecuing this meatso we’re going to go ahead and prepareour basting saucefor our beef skirts so this gives a veryniceglazey and a rich texturewhile our steaks are getting grilledso here i’m going to take aboutthree tablespoons of soy saucethat’s three tablespoonskorean rice syrupabout two tablespoons of ricesugar syrupand i’m also going to go ahead and useabout onetablespoon of gochujang pastethat’s one tablespoonso we’ll go ahead and mix all of thistogetherand this basting sauce you can prepareit just beforeyou start barbecuingall right so it’s very well mixed sowe’re just going to go ahead and keepthis asideso here i have my beef skirts that hasbeen marinating overnightand the aroma from the fresh herbs isabsolutely fabulousso let’s go ahead and set this aside andwe’ll go ahead and heat up ourstore grillso today i’m using a cast iron griddleso this heats up really well so let’s goahead and turn on the flameand we want this super duper hot uh justlike agrill like the heat of a grill so castiron griddle issizzling hot to this i’m going to goahead and add about a tablespoon ofoiland about a tablespoon ofunsalted butter[Music]we’ll go ahead and add a stickerliterally cook this for three minutes oneach sideso it’s been about three minutes solet’s go ahead and place it gentlyas a beautiful golden crust so we’ll letthis cookon the other side for another 3 minutesso it’s been about 3 minutes so let’s goahead and flipon the other sidenow to this we’re going to go ahead andbaste it with themarinade that we preparedso this not only gives a beautiful glazeto yoursteaks but it also has a fantasticdelicious tastein a nice kind of[Music]we’re going to go ahead and flip it andcook it on the other side for just about30 seconds[Applause]all right it’s perfectly done so let’sgo ahead and dish it outall right we’ll set this aside andrepeat the process for the rest of the[Music]sticksso here i have chopped some onionsred and yellow bell peppers and somefresh asparagus i have some sauce hereleftthe basting sauce and also somecaramelized umjuices from the steak so i’m going toadd both of theseto the vegetables and give it a good mixand bring it back on the grillso here i have my leftover marinadeand little bit of basting sauce and somecaramelizedjuices from the steak i’m just going tomix all my veggiesand then just toss it back on the grillwe’ll just set this aside and wait forour grill to reheatso our iron griddle is again super hotand nice and sizzling so just go aheadand spray a little bitso we’ll go ahead and add our veggiesso it’s been about four minutes ourveggies are perfectly roastedso let’s go ahead and turn off the flameso friends i
