Great way to spend a day during lockdown!
Steak Marinade (I used 3 striploins about an inch thick):
-2 tablespoons soya sauce
-about half a cup of olive oil
-2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce (worst-teh-sure)
-1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar
-1/2 teaspoon each of cayenne, paprika
Chicken Wing Marinade (I used just under 2kg chicken wings):
-about half cup soya sauce
-about half cup olive oil
-1 teaspoon each of cayenne, paprika
-2 teaspoons each of garlic powder, cajun spice
-1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
-pepper to taste

hello everyone welcome back to the Jolifestyle it’s a beautiful day here inWaterloo Ontario and because it’s abeautiful day I’m going to start up thebarbecue so I am preparing for anall-day barbecue I’ll be roasting upsome potatoes some beets grilling upsome chicken wings and some steaks allon my charcoal barbecue so let’s get tomarinating the meat in a large bowl I’vegot about two kilograms of chicken wingsset that aside let’s make the marinadeadd half a cup of soya sauce a generousamount of olive oil a teaspoon ofpaprika a teaspoon of cayenne pepper andabout two teaspoons of garlic powder andthen we’ll add about two teaspoons ofCajun spice and about a tablespoon and ahalf of brown sugar[Music]and of course some black pepper givethat a mix just pour this all over thechicken I’ll put on a plastic glove youcan get these anywhere now that lookspretty good we’ll just let that sit inthe fridge for about two to three hourshere are three steaks these are juststrip loins they’re about an inch thickand just set those aside and for themarinade we’ll add about two tablespoonsof soy sauce we’ll add a good amount ofolive oil maybe about two teaspoons ofWorcestershire and we have a teaspooneach of garlic powder onion powder andbrown sugar and then about a halfteaspoon each of tan pepper and paprikasome pepper[Music]all right let’s bring the stake back inhere and just pour the marinade all overthe states and we’ll let those steakssoak up that marinade for about two tothree hours so I’ve peeled some beetsand we’re just going to prep them forthe barbecue the first thing we’re goingto do is poke some holes into the beetstop and bottom put some butter on theresomething like that you don’t have to betoo careful with it and of course we’regoing to season it with some salt andpepper and then we just rock that babyup[Music]perfect we’ll just do that to the restof the beats and do the exact same tothe potatoes here is my weber kettleit’s a basic model there’s no bellsthere’s no whistles and really after youfigure it out there’s no need for thebells and whistles you can see that putsome miles on this baby on a calm daylike today I like to leave those bottomvents open so let’s throw some charcoalin there and fire this baby up okay I’veput some newsprint in there and someuntreated kindling and some small chunksof charcoal just together started allright those coals are glowing nicelywe’ll just put the grill on put the lidon let it all get the temperature andclean the grill we got those potatoesand beets wrapped up nicely on the grillwe’ll cover it and leave it for about anhour 15 minutes[Music]there’s an awesomenutty potato smell coming off this cueand they feel about ready as well[Music]I love roasted beets they’re nutty juicyperfectly seasoned that’s buttery andperfectly soft and it has that charcoalflavor[Music]all right so we’ve added more coalsheated up the grill now it’s ready forthe chicken wings[Music]and we’ll leave them on for about 20minutes and check on them all right sowe’re at 20 minutes 25 minutes and Ithink we just need to leave those foranother 15 holes are still going nicely[Music]all right it’s been about 45 minutes intotal and these wings look good to go[Music]oh yeah that’s it perfect we tried tosee some chicken all right well now thatthey’re seared on both sides we’ll justcook those on indirect heat cover thatup and leave it for 15 minutes well it’sbeen about 25 minutes on the indirectheat and I think these babies are readyto go let’s charge that season and it’sjuicy well that was quite the daynothing like lounging around thebarbecue with some cold beveragessmelling that smoky charred goodness allday remember to hit that like buttonfeel free to subscribe to my channel andleave a comment we’ll see you in thenext one[Music]
