Ingredients for Oven fried wings:
5 Lb chicken wings, first and second sections cut up.
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp Tones Six Peppers seasoning
1 teaspoon Tones cilantro lime seasoning
½ black pepper
wing sauce of choice to coat when cooked.
Ingredients for crispy oven fried wedges:
6 medium sized potatoes (preferably russet), cut into wedges
1/4 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, grated or minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary (about 1/4 of dry)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
To garnish:
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

[Music]well hello there welcome once more toquench West kitchen and if this is yourfirst time stopping by I’d like to say avery warm equality you yes today we aremaking some potatoes peace out fries butguess what yeah open fry and the chickenwings that come along with it out oftheir sightso these photos that you see areactually our old images that I made thisrecipe like years ago already cut upwhen I watch them cut them dry as yousaw and transfer them into the bowl andright now I’m just adding on here somebaking powder I showed you baking powdernot baking soda please so baking powderis what we are going to put on thatchicken and that is actually what isgoing to give you that look of friedchicken which you will see very soon soin here now I have added some salt andI’m just added on some seasonings whichoriginally I didn’t do but you knownormally when I make this recipe I justmake it bland and you can do it as welland after you add your marinade or yourdress and you know the sauce that youput on your chicken you could put somedress seasoning in it as well but anywaythis time around I chose to put someseasoning so it’s just about some blackpepper some toes six pepper seasoningsand a little bit of cilantro limeseasonings in there and I am going to goahead and mix everything but before Itouch the chicken I decided to get mypan ready so once I touch it you know Idon’t have to touch my clean aluminumfoil so I’m just gonna go ahead and mixeverything like I’m doing I’m justrubbing to make sure I get the bakingpowder and the seasonings very wellcoated onto my chicken and I’m justgonna go ahead andplace them on my baking rack which Ihave also set up on the tray becausethis is gonna give up juices and youdon’t want the juices to mess up youroven or anything so it set it on a bigand the baking rack sitting on a bakingtray which are also lined with papertowel aluminum foil to prevent any messso here we are we have our wings alllined up now and right now I have myoven set at 250 degrees already it’salways preheated and I’m going to goahead and let this cook in that oven for30 minutes so cooking it at thistemperature is very essential and youyou want to start with that 250 degreesfor the 30 minutes and this is how yourchicken is going into crisp pop becauseof that baking soda on it so I amsetting the timer because I don’t wantto forget and while that is going on Ihave my potatoes here these are Idahopotatoes or russet potatoes and that iswhat you really need to make this recipeso I’m just gonna wash them very wellI’m not going to be peeling thesepotatoes they are going to be baked orother fried skin on if you really don’tlike it you could peel it but I don’tmind eating my potatoes with the skin onbut of course I’m gonna give it athorough wash I’m gonna give it a verygood wash and I’m using a vegetablebrush and here I’m showing you thedifference you see oh that the dark orthe brown colored is more of just thedirt on the potatoes and once I give ita good scrub its gonna end up prettyclean and of course I rinse every one ofthem under running water once I’m donegiving it a scrubthis is an amazing very amazing recipe Ifound this I think on Pinterest I’vemade it several times as you saw in thephoto that I just showed you and I justlove love it it’s just unbelievable thatthis is not fried in oil you know it’snot deep-fried it’s just baked and theflavors and the textures when you’redone with it it crisps up so beautifullyon the outside but it’s so nice andbuttery on the inside I really know youwill love it and I hope you’re able togive this a try so anyway I have washedeverything now and as the process ofgetting your potatoes to be crispy onthe outsideinvolves this step which is very crucialyou shouldn’t skip this you have to cutup your potatoes and put it in an icebath cold water or ice I prefer to doice because then it’s gonna help memaximize the benefits of doing this inthe cold water plus it’s gonna be alittle faster for me so I have some icecubes here I have added water and I’mjust cutting my potatoes into wedges andI saw a cut of course I’m trying to trimoff any part that is not so good thatneeds to come off and so I have it andmost most of the time each half I end upcutting up into about four pieces soeight pieces you know for each potatoand as you can see I picked out the notas so long and not the too shortpotatoes in my bag of potatoes you knowthese sizes are almost equal you want tohave them looking like this not too tinyand not too big because you want yourworries to be of a good length beautifullength just like this so I’m donecutting everything up and I’m going tolet them suck in this water bath for atleast 30 minutes and so in doing thistogether everything came out perfectlythe Terman was right because you knowthe chicken wings are going to be about250 degrees for the first 30 minutesanyway and at the same time this needsto be out here for about 30 minutes forthe eyesyou know to help the potato this isgoing to help take out some of thestarches in it and it’s going to helpthat potato come out beautiful perfecton the outside but tasty and deliciouson the inside so anyway while sits it’son the water bath I’m getting myingredients ready to coat my potatoes tobreak it and this is rosemary you coulduse dried rosemary if you don’t havefresh rosemary the first time I did thisI actually use dried rosemary but I havethis in my backyard now so I just gotthese and so use whatever I you have andit’s still gonna work perfectly so I’mjust trying to cut this into very verytiny pieces not the tiniest but I’mchopping it as far as I possibly can andthis is just gonna bring a lot of flavorif you like rosemary you will love thison your potatoes so anyway after 25minutes which because I feel like it’sokay I have it in ice but if you can dothe full 30 minutes all the better but Iwanted to give myself extra 5 minutes todry off my potatoes and marinate it youknow like seasoned it before I bake itso I brought them out at 25 minutes fromthe ice bath and I’m transferring itonto these clean and dry kitchen towelsand that is how I’m going to tell themdry make sure they take off every amountof moisture on it you want your potatoeswhen they come out of the ice bath to bevery dry very dry so your ingredientswill stick on it and it’s not going tomake your your your seasoning you knowwatery and that way your ingredients youknow which are mostly powders will notreally sit well on it and your potatoeswill not turn out goodso I’m giving it a good dry and I thinkat this point it is dry enough so I amgonna go ahead and put it together mydry ingredients which I’m gonna beshowing you and then after that we’rejust gonna coat the potatoes with itso I quickly check out my chicken andjust us you can see right here you seehow it is crisping up it is just lookinga little bit dry I just brought it up alittle bit so you could have a betterlook and this is how you want it this ishow you see the baking powder is dry onit it has helped and have a little bitof crisp on it and so your chicken isgoing in to have that crispy strip itthe crispiness to it that will make itlook like it was you know fried in hotor your when this is finally done youwill be amazed at how this will turn outso I’m gonna push this back in here andanother point I am going to increase mytemperature to 400 degrees 400 degreesand that you’re gonna end up cooking thepotatoes for about 15 minutes so anotherI made the chicken and that is about howlong the potatoes is also going to cookso I’m gonna go ahead and finish thisand this is gonna be cooking in the oventogether with the grains for the sameamount of time so everything is gonnacome together beautifully all togetherare the same about the same time soright here I’m missing some garlic andthat is going on top of the choppedrosemary you could see the rosemary I’veadded in here some onion powder garlicpowder and some smoked paprika and nowI’ve added my olive oil that is extravirgin olive oil and I’m going to listall of these ingredients for you in thedescription box so don’t worry at alland in here now also I added some gratedParmesan cheese and that is also goingto help bring a little bit of crisp youknow the cheese and then of courseflavor to your potatoes so I’m justmixing everything up and at this pointI’m gonna go ahead and add in mypotatoes very dry very dry and I’m likeI told you very essential that you getthem really really dry and so here goestheir second batch and I have everyin here now and I’m just I tried to tossthat which wasn’t the greatest ideanothing you know all the seasoning wasjust sitting in the bottom so hey justemploy your hands I’m utilizing my handsyepmassaging robbing mixing everything makesure every part of your potato is coatedwith all these good good ingredientsthis blend of ingredients here and thatis going to ensure your fries come outperfect perfect right when you finishthis you’ll be like ah we did ask forthis you know is it Popeyes now I’mmoving confusing Popeyes or KFC I thinkis KFC I’m in America KFC makes my guesssoKFC has nothing on youth so anyway thisis all coded now and I am bringing outmore parchment paper I lined my bakingsheet I ended up using to a baking sheetand a baking dish or something like thatyou probably will need more than onebaking sheet depending on how muchpotatoes you want to make but it isessential that you place it on parchmentpaper and that is what is going toprevent your potatoes from sticking tothe pan so I have here one sheet linedup already and I still have some morepotatoes so I’m gonna go ahead and lineone more you know quite a lot aboutcooks just enough for one mealeverything else you have leftovers youknow this will be good for work lunch itwarms beautifully its kids beautifullyyou can meal prep this and you will haveit you know just pick up a bowl of thisand off to work you go or just you knowfor your lunch the next day or the nextday or whatever you want to have it withbut it really stays good in their fridgeso at this point I’m gonna go ahead andadd my potatoes in the oven I have hadthe chicken already going at 400 degreesprobably for about 10 more minutes extrayears oh it’s ten minutes ahead of thisbut everything is gonna come welltogether so this is gonna be baking forthe next like 40 minutes and while Iwait I’m just gonna go ahead and getcarrots and some we ready you know somesome chicken wings do you know chickenwings always go beautifully with yourcarrots and your celery that is if youlike your veggies and of course will bedipping them as well and it’s gonna bedelicious so I’m going to just wash themthoroughly and serve them insult andeverything cut them up and it will begood to goso I’m going to of course cut up cutthis this slender part of the celery Ileft the part closest to the base or tothe the root and I’m just using thebeautiful green parts and of course youknow the celery normally has a lot ofsand in the individual what I see leavesor branches the stocks in the stock soyeah so I’m trying to wash every stockto make sure this stays clean andeverything is perfect and of course ifyou want to wash it as many times aspossible this is the second rinse andthen I’m gonna go ahead and add somesalt and let it sit in the salt waterfor a while of course the salt is gonnamake make sure it is ensure that yourvegetables are clean and also of coursesalt is gonna bring a little bit offlavor to the ingredient so it’s awin-win situation at this point so Ialready added the salt now and I’m justgonna leave this to soak and thepotatoes has been in the oven with thechicken for about 25 minutes at thispoint so the chicken has cooked for like35 minutes that’s up now and thepotatoes I think it’s ready for me toflip them over and that is what I’mgonna go ahead and do now so how Ithe individual the racks I see it wascrowded in that oh so this the part ofthe potatoes that got too close to theside of the oven started burningand so I rearranged my oven racks andafter I turned these I’m not gonna sitthose two trays together on one rack I’mgoing to utilize it third rack in theoven to make sure everything turns I wasperfectso right now I’m done flipping thepotatoes on this tree and I’m going toput it back in the oven and bring outanother one that is this one and I’llturn everything around as well and likeI said I fix my rack so I’m just gonnamake sure every tray sits on a differentrack to prevent the sides from burningso decide the parts that was sittingdirectly on the parchment paper as youcan see it’s cooked and so you flip itso the side upwards will also get achance to cook up a little bit you knowso it can be crispy and that is about itso once I flip all these and they go inthe oven it’s gonna go for another extra20 minutes and everything should begolden and beautiful then so I put thepotatoes in now and I’m bringing in outthe chicken and those need to be flippedas well typically you would flip themlike halfway through and I’m just tryingto rearrange so whatever way you thinkyour oven you know if you’re doing thistogetherhopefully you ask you know if you’regoing to make that chicken in the ovenwhich is gonna take a little over anhour from start to finish you might aswell just make your potatoes you knowover and fry them as well and it’s ahealthier way to have it if you don’thave an air fryer I don’t have an airfryer and I really enjoyed this so Iflipped the blinks and so I’m just gonnalet it go for an extra 20 minutes andafter 20 minutes everything should beall done and whilst we waitI brought my vegetables out of the saltwater and I’m just trying to cut theminto strips you know like just to havethem like almost like bite-size I alwayssayso having my wings with some carrots youknow dip it in some ranch or blue cheesedressing I really love that so that’swhat I’m doing and you don’t have to dothis if you don’t want to eat yourveggies but I hope you want to eat themso yeah we’re making celery sticks andcarrot sticks that’s that’s the word itfinally came to meand I’m done cutting everything up ofcourse not even and I’m not going to tryto arrange them and this little dishhopefully it’s beautiful enough that thekids will want to pick a few of those ateat and whilst that is done I am alsogoing to cut up some parsley this isjust like a little smoke a bunch ofparsley and that is gonna be dressingfor the potatoes when it’s done so I’mjust gonna try to make it as fine as Ican so all sliced up and now I’m tryingto make sure I chopped them very much sothey’re very very tiny pieces and sowhen I mix it I’ll stare it onto thepotatoes it really shows and I’m justcutting up a lemon this not for any bigreason just for garnish whilst we waitfor the chicken to come out well friendsfor the coat or the sauce I’m not gonnago to do anything extra this I juststole bought I have a mango and scotchbonnet dressing or wing sauce and I’vealso added some buffalo sauce and I’mjust gonna go ahead and mix themtogether and once the chicken comes outfrom the oven we’re just going to goright ahead and throw them in toss itand our wings will be ready to be servedbutthe meantime I just brought the potatoesout they are beautifully they tasteamazing amazing but I’m also just gonnago ahead and code them with this blendof Parmesan cheese and the choppedparsley give it a toss and you hear thatright you hear that I should tell youthat this is crispy this is a party thisis big but nobody we know it would thinkif you don’t tell them really reallytrust me KFC has nothing on this this isso delicious you will love it I know youwill just look at that is that mybeautiful just beautiful anyway I’m justgonna go ahead and put these here in aplate and it’s gonna be ready to serveas soon as I get that chicken coated wejust will be beginning I know you wantto try this just give it a try you willlove it and your friends whoever youserve it to you yourself you know thedifference this is good and it’s ahealthier version of potatoes you knowthe fries just do it this way and I knowyou really enjoy it so our wings aredone now I have brought it out of theoven and you want to make sure you coatit as soon as it comes out of the otheronce it’s still hot even if you fried ityou want to put that sauce on it as soonas it is hot so I have them here I’mtrying to toss it which is not workingso I’m like okay let me just go aheadand use a spatula and so I’m just gonnago ahead and stir make sure that everypart of my wings I coat it yes we’regonna be winging it winging it wingingit and get it but anyway I saved some ofthis because these sauces are both veryspicy the kids definitely can’t havethat all that heat and that is why I’mso happy that I put extra marinade onthis I have shared this residuepreviously on Instagram and if you’veever tried it you know that in thatrecipe I only season this with salt anda little pepper nothing else but I’mhappy I putbusiness on it and now the kids canenjoy things because it’s tasty theydon’t need to have stuff that sauce onit for it to be good enough for thembecause the sauce is too spicy but justlook at this this was a Friday nightwe’re gonna do a movie night you know Ican’t say a lock-down meal because someof us are still alive it’s almost thesame for us but it was good that he hada movie night and we were really reallygonna do winging it this one’s good justlook at this you got that chicken I justdipped it into my blue cheese dressingwhich is our favorite dip and look atthe meat I just had to show you did yousee how beautiful it is and so deliciousjust absolutely delicious now just lookat the potatoes such perfectionperfection thank you so much for doingthis
