hey yo its Tiffany with her–theyTiffany and I are back with a Sundaycook with me a Sunday dinner cook withme and I’m gonna be making barbecuechicken so good homemade mashed potatoescorn and some croissant rolls so I’mreally really excited and then we’regonna sit down enjoy some American Idoland yes enjoy family time if you’re newmy name is Tiffany and this is thriftyTiffany and welcome to my Sundaydinner not too fancy just some good oldgood ol barbecue chicken y’all so yeahso stay tuned and I’ll see you guys atthe end of the video love you guysalright so to start Sunday dinner wehave our meat tier which I am using whatI have on hand and you can use whatevercut of meat that you have on handlegs breasts thighs I got tenders I gota large pack this pack was actually only568 so I kind of just get with cheap sofeed a lot of people so these tunersthat work really good I also gotpotatoesI got parsley and I got this Memphisbarbecue seasoning I got from DollarTree I love this stuff so I’ll put thison first the chicken and then I lovethis craft original barbecue I love thisbarbecue sauce and I get that at DollarTree as well got some butter creamcheese that is for my mashed potatoesolive oil I have my frozen super sweetcorn onion I might put onion with thebarbecue just to flavor it I am gonnause an iron skillet so I’ll start it onthe stovetop end it in the oven lovedoing that so I got my two pots herethis is for the corn this is for thepotatoes and then over here I have mybaking tray already ready to put thecroissant rolls that I get from DollarTree absolutely love these Ellie’scroissant rolls they’re so good and youget ten mini in here so we’ll heat allof those up in the oven and then coat itwith a little bit of butter so yes allright so we’re gonna get started this isan overview of the items that we’regonna use and now to get started thefirst thing I’m gonna go ahead and getthat heating up I’m gonna start with thechicken get it heated up get the panwarmed up and we’re gonna go ahead andadd some water to our okay y’all so I’mjust gonna add the water to the pot ofcourse however much water potatoes I’musing five potatoes I usually do onepotato for each of the person here sothere’s four people here and then I doone extra always just so maybe someleftovers maybe somebody a double helpin which could be Cash who loves mashedpotatoes I’m going to go ahead and turnthat water on to get it heating up let’sget that started hope everyone is havingan OK Sunday and join it with family Iknow a lot of us are in the house alsofor the corn I got to get some waterstarted for the corn this is a steamingbowl bag so I’m wondering to do a shotI might actually steam it in the bagy’all I might just take the shortcutusually I like to cook it on the stovebut it says right here microwave steamsand bags so I might steam it and thenadd butter salt and pepper at the end soyeah I might do that we’ll go ahead andput that in the microwave and then we’llgo to it when it’s time cuz that’s gonnabe one of our last things that we do umlet’s see next we’re gonna while that’sheating up we can go ahead and peel thepotatoes potatoes I’ve already rinsedthem off they’re still wet on one sidenow again also we’ll probably caramelizesome onions with the barbecue chickenjust to flavor it really good um so I’mjust gonna start peeling these potatoesif y’all hear the kids in the backgroundthe boys are playing a video game sothey’re kind of loud American Idol comeson tonight who watches American Idol Iabsolutely love American Idol y’all andI can’t believe Katy Katy Perry ispregnant that’s so crazy that’s so coolI love all the stories that come withAmerican Idol it’s just a fun nicelittle family show to watch and I alsolike to watch naked and afraid it’s kindof crazy but I do like that you alwayshave new new shows that come on onSunday night so excited for thosehopefully this will get you away fromwhat’s going on hopefully take a minutewatch this video and you know get yourmind off of what’s actually going on inthe world right now it’s because it’skind of scary but so we are pilling uplet me move this so you can see a littlebit better there we goI’m just pilling it on this napkin righthere choosing my good old Taylor youturn this down a little bit and actuallyI need to go ahead and salt the waterlet me salt the water over here for thepotatoes season the water really goodI love homemade mashed potatoes like Ilove them it’s good old comfort foodthat’s what we need right now some goodold comfort food love barbecue chicken Iwould make mac and cheese too but we hadthat the other so I’m like let me dosomething that’s not I don’t want to dotwo starches cash morning mac and cheeseI’m like let’s do mashed potatoes andcorn because we don’t need two starchesand you know I’m not even gonna lie Ifeel like I’m coming down with somethingand it scared me but it feels like Ihave I have allergies really really badlike me cash and Chaya Cayman doesn’thave any allergies meat cash and Chayaget it really bad Chi was sick as youguys have seen all my other haul she wassick with her allergies with you knowall up in her face like nose bro it sheit was itchy not hurting so um she wasgoing through that what last week andnow I feel like it’s attacking me it’snot I don’t have any problems breathingor anything like that don’t have anyfeverI just kind of feel like my throat it’slike a lump in my throat and I just kindof feel like my allergies are attackingme and it’s so scary cuz all this goingout you know you’re like googling everysymptom and checking yourself for feverto make sure you don’t have a fever thatwas the main thing that’s hot new kyuhkyuh was allergies because she didn’thave any fever know if it gets the feverthen we’ve got a question in it but it’skind of scaring me y’all oh my goodnessbut I’m staying in the house I’m notgoing anywhere just staying with thekids I just spray it’s just allergy beentaking some allergies or tech and stuffhopefully that helpspotatoes cuts hope that wasn’t tooboring hope I talk to y’all through thatagain grab you grab you a cup of coffeecup of tea we’re gonna cut these up sowe can I don’t know why I cut them thatsmall aisle like I’m making potato saladgo ahead and put these in the water yeahyou don’t have to do them so smallespecially when you do mashed potatoeswhen you do potato salad you got to cutthem kind of all even with each otherbut not for mashed potatoes I hope a bigenough pan right here but I don’t thinkI do so now we’re gonna put the oliveoil in the pan to start our chicken andI’ll come back after I’ll put these inthere okay so I have the chicken tendersright here I’ve already washed it put itin here now I’m going to add the dollartreat memphis-style barbecue seasoning Ialways do a dry seasoning first before Istart cooking it don’t do too too much Imean you want to do a good bit y’all butnot too too muchyou got a little bit of olive oil inhere just so it’ll stick to each otherjust a little bit just a little oliveoil mix it around and the reason youwon’t want to do too too much becauseyou are gonna add barbecue sauce at theend you can even add some black pepperbut don’t add any salt this whatmemphis-style barbecue has salt in it ifwe want to add anything to it you canadd like pepper onion powder garlicpowder whatever whatever you want thisis just regular black pepperand my skillet is really nice and hot atthis point really nice and hot so whatI’m first going to do is put olive oiland onions this is gonna sit for aminute and like marinate a little bitagain you have you can definitely seethe seasoning but don’t do – actuallyI’m gonna add a little bit of paprikapaprika gives it color and good tasteand this is what I’m using honey givesit that smoky that good good flavor allright so I’m gonna set this aside andthen we’re gonna start on this onion soI mean wash my hands real quick and washthis little area okay so now we’re justgonna cut the onion basic it doesn’thave to be anything specialdoesn’t have to be however you want itcuz it’s just honestly just gonna cookwith the chicken to give it some flavoronion brings out flavor and everythinglove itseeand we’re gonna add some I don’t belongyou do olive oil or butter whichever oneyou want your pan let me lift that upnow for you guys but this pan is niceand hotoh yeah y’all think it’s about time fora new one look at my Dollar Tree Mintonlook in my mitten do you all see this Inot have more this one I just keep usingand I need to get another one will touch the barbecue seasonon this chicken is gonna flavoreverything[Music][Music]only thing about this is every part ofthe hip-hop[Music]all right so we’ll let you gettranslucent get really nice and I’llcome back okay so you get to wear youronions look like thisthen again I’m just gonna put the UMscoot them to the side a little bit andthen start putting the chicken on itshead time to marinate a little bit[Music]either plenty season 20 then no wondereven seasoned more with the barbecuesauceanything smothering with the onions thatyou want to like this clip from overa young boy over[Music]and you can go ahead and pre-heat youroven about 375 Jeff so because we’regonna cook we’re going to cook it on thestove farts and then we’re going to putto finish at all likeand marinated to the barbecuealso at this stage on the parsley I canuse it on everything oil parsley all ofthe color that it adds[Music]our mashed potatoes is still over yourcookies and bowling like they’re stillcooking[Music]so when it comes up and it doesn’t stickthat means[Music]look at that so sweet clear that’s whatyou wantthis cast-iron skillet doesn’t itso amazing these are definitely worththe money and you can use it for almostanythinganything criminal[Music]okay so we’re gonna sear it on this sidethen we’re going to add our barbecue andthen we’re going to put it in the ovenjust kind of finish it off if you want anice here before you put it in the ovenall rightthe Kospi is writtengoodbye the Pacific look at that fearand those grilled onions all man so goodokay y’all but the tank is almost therelooks like they’re getting kind ofstalled looking goodalright y’all so I just put the corn onit’s a steam little bag so I’ll just putthat on Sunday dinnerfive minutes at this point pretty muchso but probably not all the way throughso now we’re gonna add our barbecue it’sgot a nice sear on both sides we get ourbarbecue your onions are nicely glazedthis barbecue is so good and if you canusually find a high-dollar tree if notit’s at your local grocery store but Ilove this stuff[Music]so good I’m gonna get my little bloodbrushactually turn it and we’ll turn it offat this pointit’s no goodand then we will flip itat those barbecue chicken y’all[Music]a little bit goes a long way once youcook it[Music]all right we’re gonna put her into theovenso debate I got it about 375 and againit’s basically just a she just went inthe oven now we’re gonna work on a I’malso gonna go ahead and put theseEllie’s rolls out here I’m gonna putthem all in mini little you all theseare definitely a thumbs up for me fromDollar Tree they are so good so goodjust have to brush it with a little bitof butter so that’s just ready for whenit’s time for the corn is about to busshe’s almost ready it might have notbeen five minutes but she is about tobut I guess there we’re gonna turn thepotatoes off move them over here aboutto drain themtake em over here today y’all we’reabout to drain our potatoes and thenright after I drain um I like to addsalt and pepperso always sprinkle the salt and pepperand I’m using this salt from Dollar Treeand pepper I can get it open this pepperalso from Dollar Treegive them a good pepper love pepper allmy potatoes alright then we’re gonnamove them back to the pan okay so we’regonna move our potatoes that we justdrained back to the pan so we can butterthem sour cream cream cheese milk at allare things that we need to add that madea whole thing of potatoes so at thispoint of course you got to add somebutter that’s a lot of potatoes I’mgonna add okay what is this about twotablespoons yep I picked it up with myhands two tablespoons of butter I mightadd a little bit but then I’m gonna havesome cream cheese is the key to somegood mashed potatoes y’all cream cheeseand sour cream so I’m gonna add somegood old cream cheesedepending on how much I’ll make um thatdepends on how much cream cheesesometimes I do half I’m just using whatI have left and then I’m gonna add justa little bit of sour cream sour creamwill overpower the flavor so definitelydon’t do too much just do like you knowa little bit make it creamythen you can add heavy cream or wholemilk oh gosh Oh some good ol healthyheavy cream just a little bit of it andthen I might add some more milk to itagain I’ll take my good oh don’t this ismy advice do not use a mixer on mashedpotatoes you make them waxy so don’t usea handheld mixer use a masher you don’twant to whack see you don’t want themlike yeah I’m gonna have to add someprobably some more heavy cream[Applause]show youlook light and looking beautifulthen you just taste it keep tasting itbecause it might need more salt pepperit might need more cream cheese it’s notlike my own creamysometimes I’ve added a little bit ofmayo mayo is like a trick but I have I’mnot doing that this time I’m doing acheese let’s taste it let’s give it ataste and see what we needyeah that’s a stirI’m not gonna dip back in here y’all I’mgonna taste it mmm I think oh she’s good[Music]she’s pretty goodI might add in I just use program creamcheese we’re just going to add a littlebit again not too much I cut about thismuch off of the block this little bitjust to add some moreall rightsmoosh her down in there and that’s goodshe had enough salt pepper everythinggood so those are done barbecues inthere all we got left to do the corns Igonna put it in a bowl and add butterand salt pepper T that it’s getting darkin here I’m trying to give you guys agood angle so I just got my corn it’salready cooked oh I love corn y’all knowit literally has no nutritional valuebut I love corn we’re gonna have thelast little bit of butter from that andthat’s done then we’re gonna add somesalt oil salt pepperwe gotta lift the arm let me use thislet the butter melt in there so this isready I can stick it in the microwaveand it’s ready for a win when it’s readyto servelet that butter milk its Milton that’sabout two tablespoons of butter justlike I put two tablespoons and themashed potatoesyeah alright so looks like the corn isdone y’all let the butter melt all intherebut good old super-sweet corn I’m gonnaput it back in the microwave just to sitand okay so have these before alrighty’all so I’m gonna put these in the ovenwith the barbecue chickens because I’msure the barbecue chicken is done so I’mgonna put these in let me scoot it got astudent make it some roomyeah that barbecue chickens done we’regonna put this in there and then thosewill come out at the same time and we’llbe good for Sunday dinner okay so I’mgonna pull out the chicken up close whatit looks like this is it right out ofthe oven all readyI’m so excited looks so good I love whenonions are like that oh they’re so goodthere’s and we’re just waiting on therolls and it just took the rolls outjust gonna add so much butter to the topof them the butter on themhold on let me do this I go all therolls are done and buttered and now
