hey guys Carl here with adventures ofCarl Ian and I really hope you’reenjoying this Hawaiian at home serieswhere we are hopefully helping you makeall your favorite Hawaiian dishes athome now if you’re one of those peoplethat doesn’t really know what to orderat a Hawaiian spot or you know you’renot really feeling that whole chickenkatsu fried thing or spam musubi thenyou should not live just kidding butseriously if you want a more healthieroption even though it’s kind of nothealthy but technically compared to theother things it is kind of healthier butit’s kind of sort of still not reallythen Hawaiian barbecue chicken is yourplate you know so I haven’t really madethis dish in a long time and I’m reallyexcited to make it so let’s go ahead anddive into it if you really like thiscontent go ahead and share like itplease subscribe it’ll help us a lot andwe’ll put out more if you have anyrequests let us know and yeah let’s diveinto this BBQ chicken[Music]okay guys to make this really tastyHawaiian barbecue chicken all you’regonna need is some brown sugar soy saucethe regular ones just fine smashedgarlic and some peeled and crushedginger oh yeah some chicken wood out tooso the first thing you’re gonna do ismake this marinade and we’re gonna take3/4 of a cup of brown sugar and 3/4 of acup of soy sauce and mix that together Ilike to warm up the soy sauce a littlebit just so that the brown sugar melts alittle easier when you’re stirring ittogether and finally you’re gonna goahead and Hulk smash through to fourgarlic cloves and peel and slice four tofive slices of ginger and add it to yourmix combine it with your chicken coverit label it and stuff it in yourrefrigerator overnight for the bestresults and when you’re ready it’s timeto cook now you can hit this on thegrill if you have one but I usually liketo just do the pan sear and oven finishmethod so what you’re gonna do is heat apan to about a medium-high heat you cansear it on both sides so it kind ofgives off that barbecued on a grill typeof look then you’re gonna finish it in a350 degree oven for as long as it takesreally depends on how big your thighsare mine are pretty big and then it’splating time just like our Hawaiianplate fashions let’s go ahead and getyour two scoop of rice your shreddedcabbage one scoop of mac or two and thenplop that nicely browned grill lookingchicken thigh right on top I like togarnish mine with a little green onionand some footy kaki and then it’s timeto eat and there you have it that isHawaiian barbecue chicken I hope youenjoyed this one if you liked it shootus – subscribe we have plenty morecoming out and we’ll see you on the nextone[Music]
