HOW TO COOK PERI PERI CHICKEN WINGS | NANDOS STYLE | TASTY GRILLED CHICKEN RECIPE

Love a Nando’s, then you MUST try these Crispy, Juicy and tender Peri Peri Chicken Wings.

Recipe
Serves – 4 People
Prep Time – 30 Minutes
Cooking Time – 1 Hour 45 Minutes

Ingredients for the Brine
2kg Chicken Wings with skin on
3 Litres of Water
7Tbsp Salt
7 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Black Pepper
1 roughly chopped Onion
3 Garlic Cloves

Ingredients for the Peri Peri Marinade
6 Birds Eye Red Chilli
3 Garlic Cloves
1 small Onion chopped
2 Tbsp Paprika Powder
1 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Oil
3 Tbsp White Vinegar
1 freshly squeezed Lemon

Instruction for making the brine
Take a large bowl and fill it with 3 litres of water and add in all your brine ingredients excluding the chicken wings. Give all the ingredients a good stir to dissolve the salt and sugar this is should take around 3-4 minutes. Next add in your chicken wings and stir again and then refrigerate for a minimum of 24 hours.

Instructions for making the Peri Peri Marinade
Put all your ingredients into a blender and blitz away, If you feel the consistency of the marinade is too thick then whilst still blending you can add in more oil or water to loosen the mixture. The marinade is now complete.

Instructions for making the dish
1. Take out your chicken from the fridge, and place only the wings in a separate bowl. You can discard the water as it is no longer required for this dish.
2. Marinade the chicken wings with the Peri Peri and place back into the fridge for a few hours or for a maximum of 24 hours. I would say from experience that the longer the chicken is in the marinade the better they will taste when cooking.
3. Take out the chicken at least an hour before cooking so the chicken is at room temperature. This will allow the chicken to cook evenly.
4. Pre-heat your oven to gas mark 8 (230 c) for at least 15 minutes, Place the chicken in a roasting tray and cook on Gas Mark 7 (220 c).
5. Cook for at least an hour or until thoroughly cooked. Occasionally turn the chicken to allow the skin to cook and crisp all around. Chicken tends to cook very quickly depending on your oven so please keep checking not to overcook.
6. Once chicken is cooked remove from the tray and pour the excess sauce into a pan, add 1 to 2 Tbsp of Nando’s peri sauce and cook for 10 mins on medium to low heat.
7. Pour this sauce into a bowl and this will be used to brush over the chicken.
8. The chicken can now be flame grilled with the sauce brushed over. This step will give the chicken a BBQ grill taste. This step should only take 30 to 60 seconds on a Flame grill or a BBQ.

hi everyone welcome to my youtubechannel this recipe is one of myall-time favorites if you like Nando’sthen you will definitely love thiscrispy spicy a mouth-watering wings madein the comfort of your own home pleaselike and subscribe to my channelthe first step is the brining step forthe chicken this is very importantbecause soaking the chicken in thesalted water gives moisture to thechicken when it’s cooked and these areall the ingredients are required youwill need three liters of water in a bigbowl and add in all your ingredientsgiving it a good stir because the saltand the sugar need to dissolveincorporate into the chickenadding your chicken wings and again giveit a good stirand refrigerate this brine by dearly for24 hours which is what I didtake out the bridge for at least an hourbefore and take out your wings into aseparate ball and you need to discardthe remaining water as it’s no longerrequired now you need to make your papermarinade and these are all theingredients that are required to makethe sauce which you will need to putinto a chopper blend all the ingredientstogether well I would say that if youfeel that the consistency of the sauceis too thick whilst blending then addmore oil or you could add a dash ofwater just to loosen the texture nowthis will be a marinade for your chickenwingscaught your chickering’s thoroughlyand give this all a good mixrefrigerate this marinade for at least aminimum 24 hourspreheat the oven to gas mark 8 for atleast 15 minutes and then lower the gasMart to gas mark 7 let the chicken cookfor up to an hour occasionally turningthe chicken every 15 minuteswe take it out into a separate dishbecause we need the excess sauce thatwas remaining at the end of the cookingprocess so I’ve taken this sauce outinto a separate pan and I’m going tocook this now for an additional 5 to 10minutes because I have added 1 to 2tablespoons of the länder sauce nowdepending on C on your spice Departmentyou can either add in media or you canadd in hot sauce give it a good stir forat least 5 to 10 minutes until it’sthickened slightly and this is how youend sauce should look likeyou can’t compliment your dish with whatyou fancy whether it be chips or icehowever I complimented mine withhalloumi cheese with some sweet peppersand just caramelized some red onionsnow it’s time to brush the sauce overyour chicken wings so using a gas cookeror a portable barbecue place yourchickens on the top and brush over thesauce on either side and that’ll onlytake a couple of minutes and there yougo your chicken is complete I hopeyou’ve enjoyed this video please likeand subscribe to my channel thank youvery much for watching
