SPICY GRILLED LIME & PEPPER CHICKEN WINGS! – KAMZYS KITCHEN

[Music]hello youtube welcome backon today’s episode we are going to makesome spicylemon and pepper lemon lime and pepperchicken wings very quick very easyvery tasty stay tuned[Music]for those of you who tuned into the lastepisode you know that cleaning thechicken is a veryimportant process you need to make surethat the chickenis well cleaned and well prepared beforeyou even start putting seasoning on itso we start off rinsing it off with somecoldwater make sure you rinse it properlyand take offany feathers that are remaining on thechicken wings themselvesnext you add some lime juice or you canuse lemon juiceyou can use fresh ones or bottled onesit doesn’t make a differenceand then add a bit of salt and then washit againthoroughly as you also know from theprevious video you can also usevinegar and lime or lemon and it worksjust as wellthis is just so that we can remove anyimpurities and clean the chickenthoroughly and make sure that it is wellprepped before we add any seasoningmake sure when all of that is done youwash off the excess salt and limeand keep it clean for the next step ofthe cooking process[Music]so i’m not sure about you guys but whenmaking chicken wingsi like to get rid of the tip at the endi don’t know if that’s thescientific term for it but that is whati call it so we go aheadand take those right off and then wesplitthe chicken wing into two pieces so theflatand the drum what do you guys prefer idon’t know about you but i like bothequally as good some people prefer thedrums some people prefer the flatslet us know in the comment sectionit’s important that we do this currentlyat this stagejust so that when we get to the nextpart of the cooking processit will be a lot easier for us to handlethe chicken and season itso we’re going to go ahead and do thatto all the rest of the pieces that wehave[Music]so once your chicken is cleaned and cutinto portionsyou need to get a nice decent sized potand put all the piecesin there so at this stage we are goingto season itand then we are going to steam it whatthis does it pre-cooks the chicken andalso allows the seasoning to soak intothe fleshso make sure you’re using enoughseasoningfor the amount of chicken that you haveso what i’ve started withis some black pepper and then we’regonna add some saltand some piri piri seasoning those arethe only three ingredients at this stageit’s important that you don’t over do itbecause you’re gonna add a bit moreseasoning later on during the grillingprocess[Music]after you’ve added the seasoning it’stime to add some hot wateryou don’t need a lot of hot water atthis stage because all you’re doing issteaming it you are not boiling itso half a cup of water is perfectly fineand what i like to do is also place thelid on topand shake it around just to make surethat all the chicken is evenly coatedand then we put that on a medium heatwhether using gasor electric hob put on a medium heat andlet that steam away for about 15 to 20minutesand once that is done it looks a littlesomething like thismake sure you mix it around so this isevenly coatedyou’re going to see that everything isgoing to be a lot simplerwhen we get in the next part of thecooking process and the reason why weadded a little bit of water as wellwe are going to use that for a bastingsauceso what we do with that is make sure youadd some oiland then we add in some lime juice andlast but not least we are going to addinfinely chopped scotch bonnet pepperpleasei advise as before make sure you areusing gloves when dealing with scotchbonnet peppersthey are extremely hot if you get inyour eyes itis game over for you[Music]this basting sauce is very important somake sure you do not burn itkeep it at a low heat and simmer awayuntil most of theliquid is evaporated so this isour pre-cooked chicken as you can seeall the seasoning the soaked in it’sinfused the flavors up therei wish you could smell this right nowand we are noteven doneso for this we are actually going to usea george foremanelectric grill this is something that ibought quite recentlythought i’ll try it out for this videoif you don’t have one of these you canstill use your regular ovenif you have a barbecue you can still useyour barbecue as well it works just thesameas you can see it’s got track the bottomfor where the oil and the fats drain outofvery useful very simple to use the greenlight goes onit is ready to go and all you do isapplyyour meat steak whatever it is fish itcooks a lot of different meats in thereand it’s very simple to use very veryeffective so i always start by puttingall the flat pieces first because what irealized about thisgeorge foreman grill is that if thereare some areas wherethere’s a lot of meat or it’s a bit morepacked out than the remainingareas it won’t cook them all evenly so iput in all the flats firstso that when i close the grill everysingle part of the chickenis touching the upper plate and thebottom plate giving us a nice even growtop and bottomand we do not need the basting saucejust yetwe’re just going to give it a nice grillat the top and bottom some nice grillmarks you’re going to seebefore we start adding the basting sauceon top of it to give it that extra bitof flavorthese will only need to cook for about10 to 15 minutes on either sideas you can see it’s already beenpre-cooked so all we need is a nicegrilling action going onyou know what after this you probablymight not want to go to nando’s againbecause i’m telling you it tastesamazing just going straight with sometongsand flip it over and get it ready forthe next partof the processso our wings have some nice grill lineson itit’s looking nice it’s looking juicy butguess what it can be even betterso what we’re doing now we are addingour basting sauceand i’m telling you this takes it to thenextlevel so that’s that infusion with thescotch bonnet pepperthe lime juice and the stock that wasremaining from the chicken when weinitiallysteamed it in the pot this is the gamechanger this is where the flavorintensifies i know your mouth issalivatingbut be patient you’re going to see theend result it’s going to beincredible and just some furtherinstructions when using this georgeforeman grillmake sure you have windows open it canget a little bit smokyso you need to make sure you have it nowwindow or if you’ve got an extractor fanput the extractor fan on and also makesure thegrille itself is placed on a hardsurface that is heat resistantas you can see i’ve taken off the flatpieces now and i’ve added on thedrumsticks so the drumsticksthese are the bits that are a little bitbigger so i always cook themseparately just so they can all cookevenly and they’ll need to be flippedaboutthree or four times just because they’rechunkieryou will need to get it on four cornersyou need to hit that from fourdifferent angles every pun intended[Music]and listen go to town with that sauce goto town with that sauce this is whatchanges everything apply it withheavy hands you need that sauce you needthat sauce and don’t be worried aboutputting too muchthat’s what the tray at the bottom isthere for any excess will draindown into the tray so you don’t have aspill anywhereand what i like to do also is press downon it sometimesjust to give a bit more pressure so itcooks a bit deeperinto the meat and then we go ahead andflip it over again as i was saying toyou theflats are easier to cook so thedrumsticks you’ll need to cook them onthree or four different sides just tomake sure that it’s cooked thoroughlyand guys please please please make sureyou are being very careful with thisgrillit it look it gets extremely hot justfamiliar my words thereso be careful make sure you’re usingproper equipmenttongs if you’ve got um oven mitts youcan use those as well because the actualsurface of it gets really hot so now weare plating our foodget a nice round bowl any color of yourchoiceit doesn’t matter because this is goingto look amazing regardless of what youput it inas you can see there’s a lot of saucegoing on added some red onions to thesauce as well when i was basting itjust to give it a bit more pizzazz a bitmoreit looks amazing it smells fantastic ireally wish you guys could smell thisright now but guess what when you’redoing it yourselfdon’t even take my word for it do ityourself and let me know in the commentsectionhow it came out but you’re really gonnaenjoy this the flavors areincredible the smell is incredible thisone is definitely gonna be a partypleaserand if you’re someone who generallylikes wings and other finger foods thisis the best way to goyou control what you’ve put in it youcontrol how much of whatever’s in itand it’s going to taste to your likingand last but not least it is a muchhealthier way of cooking it rather thanfrying itor deep frying it or whatever the casemay beas you guys know i’m a bit of a whorefor presentationso i go in straight with some slicedlimepieces got about four in there added insome spring onionsfinely sliced and sprinkled over the topthis is just going to give it a nicelittle edge it’s going to look good onthe tablewherever it is that you’re having it inyour garden nice barbecueand don’t be afraid to go to town withthe presentation i’ve added in somefreshchilies as well this is your normal redchilies thinly sliced and sprinkled overthe topand last but not least the game changerthe final touchthe big bang sprinkle some lime juiceall over the top this is to give it thefinal kickinfuse all those flavors and get
