bacon fried cabbage cooking it in myDutch oven because we’re gonna cook alotall right hang on here we go[Music]hey man I just want to say this videorecipe everything was inspired by myfriend Jeff he lives over that way aboutmaybe four or five miles he has a littlechannel called armadillo pepper barbecuewho can let’s say little he’s got like Idon’t knowthirty thousand subscribers or who knowswhat all right it’s got an awesomewebsite you sell some awesome productstoo though I just wanna say thanks Jefffor the inspiration man and whoasave my camera thanks buddy on thesecret ingredients leftover pork steaksbeen cooked on the pit barrel cooker nowhere here we go all right that bacon isfrying up nicely I’m gonna get it goodand crispy good and crispy then I get itout of my cast-iron Dutch oven and seewhat happens nextall right our Bacon’s donecheck it out oh yeah all right so Idrained the bacon grease and then I putabout three tablespoons back in that wasa half a pound of bacon if you want morebacon in yours put more in there I don’tblame you manBacon’s awesome see our pan is startingto smoke so here comes a cabbage lookslike a lob that’s gonna cook down[Music]yeah it is a lot next maybe too much ohoh my go work down in thereergooh yeah I forgot one thing I got theseason the cabbage so I got me someuncle Steve shake some of the thick needand the reason I’m using that is becausethis stuff is heavy on black pepper okaywe’re not going to salt this becausethere’s plenty of salt in that baconover there so this is going to seasoneverything up really nice and have someheavy black pepper flavor to it okay wemight season this a couple timessorry about that shadow kind of hard tosee the as we toss and turn this it’sgoing to be good[Music]yavi tossing and turning and workingthat bacon grease into the cabbage andin the meantime I got to get my porksteak ready I got to get it ready toincorporate it in here also so stickwith me here we go[Music]alright check this out I put my porksteaks that I grilled but there areleftovers put them in the oven to warmup a little bit right yeah there’s lookat it poor sick fall apart tender rightthere so that’s what I’m gonna do isshred them up I made not even happythey’re just falling apart but she justgetting this down here I’m just going toget a little bit of this if I can a[Music]little flavor over here in the cabbageoh yeahthat’s important gold right there babyalright let me get this meat shreddedand we’ll keep rocking them rollingstay with me now[Music]all right I’ll tell you this cabbagecooks awful fastI’ve been stirring it for about fiveminutes and the cops cooked down the potwas clear full and now I got about ahalf a pot so now it’s time to add somegoodness all rightit comes out half a pound of baconcrumbled it up right in there and therehere comes two pork steaks that I shredit this is basically pulled pork I justslice the pork butt into steaks don’tneed that anymore and now we’re justgoing to kind of fold this in gently youknow like a baker does whatever theymake when they fold in gently I’m notsure if it is all right I don’t know youcan see that pepper in there from theuncle Steve shape then we got the saltfrom the bacon and the smoky flavor fromthat pork steak man I think would belittle bit more of this uncle Steveshakethere we go kick it up a notch alrightthis is done nothing left to do now andmake us a bowl and give it a try[Music]been a lot of planes in the sky today Ido live in a military town that’s why wefilmed inside today didn’t cook out onthe grill but still turned out prettygood kind of hard to see kind of hard tohear out here see the pulled pork andthe bacon and the cabbage Lord this isan awesome barbecue side and an awesomeway to use your leftovers here we go[Music][Music]man that bacon grease flavors is cabbageso well it’s not too salty we added nosalt just the bacon hey bud one of mybuddies my bike and tell you what youkind of get a little bit of that pepperon the back end it’s not spicy but youget a little bit of that pepper burn youknow with the bacon and the pork steakin there this is quick pan and it’sdelicious it’s a great side like I saidor even a main meal so give you some ofthis bacon fried cabbage and then throwin whatever you want I just happen tohave pork steaks so hey man thanks a lotfor watching the BBQ pit dog channel weappreciate it until next time you guystake care and give my man Duke goodbyeright nowsee ya[Music][Music][Music]
