hey guys welcome back to X R Us andwelcome back to another cooking videosso today we’re using one of my absolutefavourite small appliances in my kitchenwhich is the instant pot this guy savedmewhile we were under going on a crazykitchen renovation so I absolutely lovethis if you have an insta pot make sureyou let me know it down below what aresome of your favorite absolute favoriterecipes because I’m always trying tomove things up so the super deafy dayoutside you can’t really tell you it butwe are expecting about 25 centimeters ofsnow which means it’s a day for soup Iknow I look like food today becauseNathaniel woke up at 3:30 in the morningwelcome back to sleep and then also Ihave a coldJoe never feels that sharing is caringand therefore that includes germs sowe’re making barbecue pork bone soupsounds deliciousnow couple reasons I’m making that oneis I really want soup and two it’sbecause I have a beautiful Bank a frozenBBQ pork bone in my freezer that I wouldlike to use up and it is a very simpleand easy way to cook lunch so I filledit up with about nine cups of WOD holdwater and I’m just good to turn it on tomanual first all rightit’s just so I can heat up the water andat the same time I’m going to put in thefrozen pork bone and we get this likesuper duper cheap like this entire bagwas two bucksyou only believe how much meat I can getoff of this bone so you just let thatcome to a boil first it’s gonna take alittle bit of time and then we’ll add itsome other ingredientsnow it’s been boiling for maybe about 10minutes or so because I forgot about itand I was working and with adding someadditional spices I’m gonna add in someonion powder a teaspoon garlic powderhalf a teaspoon just some Chinesefive-spice so this is essentially whatthey used to marinate the barbecue porkwith and I just want to like enhancethat flavor a little bit more put a bitof that in not too much it may be justabout a quarter teaspoon of it and thenI’m also going to throw in two pieces ofsliced ginger a little bit of sugar andjust a bit of salt I can always add moresauce so I’m just going to be a littlebit cautious right now because thebarbecue pork is also already seasonedand then take my limited and what I liketo do because my rig is getting old Ilike to run it with some cold water sothat it seals better close the lid andthen I’m going to put it on to you gottado super manual I usually just always domanual I’m just gonna let that go for 12minute all right and I will let itnaturally depressurize so while thatdepressurizes I’m going to chop up thishead of napa and we’re going to use thatas aren’t vegetable for our soup todaynot just a very versatile bag surfvalues of soups in a very light flavorjust overall easy use[Applause][Music]Napa sulphate I’m gonna wash them upright since the pressurizer about 40minutes it probably would have been okayeven I like 30 minutes but I visit witha baby so there’s a little bit ofpressure left someone let that go soyeah well forty minutes I guessmmm yummy Annie looks pretty awesome mmmsmells good too perfect okay so I’mgonna press the off button and I’m goingto strain this into a other containerfirst gonna take out all the big stuffso I’m gonna check out the meat look atthat and then would be bone it or I’mgonna separate it and shred it I have afresh pot over here ready and a kind ofa set of five MRSA sieve and I’m justgonna transfer this over into the potand then I’ll put it back in the instapot while I’m doing that is because anylittle bone fragments I don’t want thatin my soupthat’ll topknot and I’m gonna pour onemore time in just a double ketchup mmmEllen good taste it first right now is avery light broth so I’m gonna turn itback on to manual again I try shedoesn’t eat that much I’m gonna add alittle bit of light soy sauce I want toadd in this new choy and this is goingto add some extra flavor to it as wellwelcome to a boil before I add in thenoodles while I do that I’m going tostart separating my pork from the boneinto the meat I’m just go do that withthese babies here so I don’t really feelfor bones[Music]I’m also going to pick up the ginger noone really eats the ginger hole in thishouse I did when I was pregnant withthat after I had the baby but that’scould be nicely I had some dumplingsfrying up on the side look at all thismeat all of this for only two dollarsthat’s how the maids balls not that’sfrugal cooking guys so now I’m justgonna add the protein and back into thesoup stock so keep laying the cook andthen once that comes to a boil I’m gonnaadd in my noodles all right sits inboiling we’re gonna add some noodles sothis is just some Somen noodles but youcan use rice noodles if you can’t eatwheat I’m just gonna put a handful inthere say that would be about good forus just dunk it in I’m choosing thesecuz these couple fast and I’m hungry soonce this softens you just need it justthe taste flavor a little bit and thenyou’re good to eat the noodles ah what’sit that I wanna taste test it and now’sthe time to adjust the flavor of it sohe does get a little bit more saltpepper you can use regular pepperfreshly ground pepper or white pepperthis is what I just happened to have myfavorite sesame oil sesame oil justmakes everything taste goodand it gives it this like beautifularoma once that’s done you just turn itoff then stir it and enjoy and here itis my BBQ pork bone Asian noodle soupperfect for a cold winter’s day and whenyou feel like you have a cold coming onlet’s taste this that smells yummysoothing nice and hotfor me it’s like comfort food it it’snice and light it’s brothy it’s soothingfor my throat is not spicy but it justhas a little hint of ginger which isactually really soothing and if you wantyou can also make a lot of variationswith this you can make it a little bitmore full-bodied by adding with someshiitake mushrooms are at the verybeginning and let that boil through soyou have some extra mommy flavor comingthrough there you can also use likevegetable stock or chicken stock if youhave that on hand I just wanted to usewhatever I had on hand in my freezerit is tasty it is yummy it is light youget that little bit of five-spice andthe noodles are nice and thin so theyare just easy to eat you can also havesome hot oil if you want but I’m notlooted that is that on your tape I throwit anymore thanks so much for
