[Music][Applause][Music]hey guys this is Stephanie Nicole Hwelcome back to my channel so today I’mgoing to be showing you my recipe forbarbecue pork steaks in the oven for myingredients I have a package of porksteaks barbecue sauce sweet baby Ray’ssweet and spicy is my go-to it’s myabsolute favorite also a whole yellowonion and barbecue rub so let’s justslow down for a second if you’re notfrom the st. Louis area you may not knowwhat a pork steak is so let’s just getsome history a pork steak is also knownas a Boston butt or a pork blade steakthese are steaks cut from the shoulderof the pig which originated in the st.Louis Missouri area in 1956 so there youhave it so here I have three pork steaksthat I have cleaned in my nonstickcopper chef’s roasting pan and I’m justtaking my dry rub and sprinkling thatover the pork steaks and I’m using agenerous amount because I like my porksteaks to have a lot of seasoning so I’mjust going to sprinkle that on the front[Music]so now I’m just massaging that dry rubinto the meat and this is actually a dryrub that I picked up from a localbusiness here in Florissant Missouricalled goki’s produce but any barbecuerub will work just fine so now I’m justflipping that meat over to the otherside and repeating the processsprinkling the dry rub on and massagingit into the meat so while I wasseasoning my meat I went ahead andpreheated my oven to 375 degrees offcamera[Music]I hate when my meat is bland andflavorless so here I am just making sureI cover all of the meat with theseasoning so the good thing about thisrecipe is if you would like to preparethis the night before you can and justpop it in the refrigerator and have itmarinate overnight so again I’m justmassaging that seasoning into the meatso I can marinate through so now I’mjust gonna cut both ends off of my onionand remove the skin[Music]now I just want to cut my opinion intoslices so that it’s in the circularrings I’m no chef so don’t get on me toobad for not cutting correctly also ifyou do not like onions you cancompletely skip this step[Music]now the my onion is sliced I just wantto separate the pieces into theindividual rings[Music]so now we’re just going to take thoseonion slices and spread them out allover my pork steaks[Music]so once I have my onions in place I’mgoing to put the top on my roasting panand place it into the oven for about anhour now these pork steaks are cut thinso an hour is okay if your pork steak isthicker you’ll want to have it in theoven for a little bit longerso after an hour is time to check on mypork steaks so I take them out and takethe top of watch out for the steam andthere’s quite a bit of liquid that wasproduced by the pork steaks so what Iwant to do at this point is to pour outabout 3/4 of the liquid that wasproduced so as you can see it’s a lotless liquid at the bottom of my roastingpan[Music]now I’m taking my barbecue sauce andjust drizzling it right over the onionsand the pork steak now I’m going toplace my roasting pan back into the ovenfor about 15 to 20 minutes uncoveredhere are the final results so as you cansee my pork steak is super tender andeasily pulls apart this was just an easyweeknight dinner and I served it with aside salad and for cheese risotto soagain you can see how tender this porksteak is and don’t mind me I could notwait to get to the dining room table sohere I am just snacking on it right onthe counterit was so good I just could not stop[Music]thank you all for watching don’t forgetto Like comment and subscribe and I willsee you all next time[Music][Music]
