This is one way I like to make pulled pork and serving it on a nice homemade Hawaiian roll is the best! It is so easy to do. Most of the work done is passive. I make my own seasoned and flavored salts that I used in this video. Now’s the time to go make it!
For the pork:
Any size you can find of pork shoulder/butt roast
Seasoned salt (salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder)
For the rolls:
1/2 c pineapple juice, room temperature. 1-1/2 c juice reduced to 1/2 c
1/2 c warm milk at 100-110
4 Tbsp melted butter
2 whole eggs
6 Tbsp granulated sugar
1-1/2 tsp sea salt
2-1/4 tsp active dry yeast
For the top of rolls
1 egg, 1 Tbsp whole milk.
Once out of oven, brush melted butter over top
For the salad dressing
3-1 ratio of oil to balsamic vinegar. I used canola and my flavored balsamic sea salt, black pepper
For the shallots:
1/4 c AP flour
2 Tbsp of my seasoned salt
Happy cooking!
