2 pieces Chinese fermented red bean curd (see Notes)
2 tablespoons sauce from fermented red bean curd
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon Chinese Shaoxing wine
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon five-spice powder
1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
80 grams white sugar
20 grams brown sugar
1 kg pork shoulder or pork belly
