welcome back on the backyard grillsergeant here to take your grill to thenext level today I’m gonna show you howto make Eastern North Carolina barbecuesauce things you’re gonna need to makethe barbecue sauce are going to bemeasuring spoon a stockpot that can holdabout one gallon of liquid measuring cupand then ingredients you’re going toneed water apple cider vinegar tomatosauce salt pepper we stir Shire saucehot sauce and ground red peppers okaynow this is really simple um you juststart out by adding four cups of waterand then you add two cups of apple cidervinegar once you get these added you cango ahead and get your heat turned on andnow you’re going to bring this to aslight boil as your temperatures comingup you can go ahead and start addingyour other ingredients your next thingis going to be one pint or an eightounce can of tomato sauce there you gonow you’re gonna add one tablespoon ofhot sauceat this point your little measuringspoon is going to be kind of wet andyucky but you’re gonna need some do somedry ingredients so go ahead and dry outyour tablespoon with a paper towel thereyo just make sure it’s good and clean Isuppose I could have done my dryingredients first and then I wouldn’thave this problem but I didn’t thinkahead so here we go now you’re gonnaneed two tablespoons of crushed redpeppersthere we gonow you’re going to need two tablespoonsof black pepper1 tablespoon of table salt 1 tablespoonand now the last ingredient is going tobe 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce1- now you’re just gonna stir it up andlet it come up to a low boil and thenonce it comes to a low boil you’re gonnalet it simmer for about half an hour soonce it starts to simmer ah we’ll beright back okay as you can see here themixture has come to a low boil so goahead and just keep it stirred and atthis point you’re gonna keep it goingfor about a half an hour the sauce hassimmered for about half an hour I’vegone ahead and shut the heat off and letit cool down for a little bit just sothat I can touch the side of the pot nowlet’s take it over and bottle it up wellto make your own eastern North Carolinabarbecue sauce that’s all there is to itso now all you have to do is bottle itup and you put it in your refrigeratorand after about two or three days ofsitting in there it will be the perfectflavor so let’s go ahead and start thatalright so in order to I’d like to use a1 quart mason jar and because the masonjar is a little bit hard to pour intowhat I like to do is I’ll just take mymeasuring cup because it’s got a widerbounce and then pour into that like thisthere we go and then use that to pourinto my mason jar if you have steadierhands in me maybe you can pour straightinto the mason jar but mmm I’m not gonnarisk it another way you could do it isif you have a ladle like this you couldtake and scoop into the mason jar thatway it works for me but I tends to be alittle bit slow so I’m just gonna goahead and do it like thisand there you goand just like that you have EasternNorth Carolina barbecue sauce I’ll seeyou next time
