ah happy Thursday guys all right I’mgonna try to make this video short andsweet for you guys I am doing my almostsweet baby Ray’s barbecue sauce in timefor Labor Day weekend if you’re here inthe Statesso I figured if I’m gonna make abarbecue sauce video now’s the time todo it in case you guys want to makehomemade barbecue sauce for your holidayweekend we are going to make barbecuesauce that tastes very similar to sweetbaby Ray’s except it won’t have thechemical taste to it it’ll tastehomemade it’s a little bit thinner butit goes on chicken and ribs so mucheasier so are you ready all right let’srock and rollI am going to change this recipe out alittle bit for you guys than my originalrecipe just to make it easier because Iknow not everybody has dry groundmustard and not everybody has pineapplejuice on hand but most of you haveregular yellow squeezable mustard andmost of you have apple cider vinegar inyour house so that’s the way we aregoing to make it the recipe for thisit’s gonna be down below I am gonna sitand type it all out for you guys so thatyou can copy it and paste it and printit out and throw it in your cookbooksfirst thing we’re gonna do is ketchupall right we’re gonna use one and aquarter cups of ketchup remember yourfavorite ketchup is this is gonna be asingle batch this is gonna be justenough for our nice barbecue sometimesif I can it though I’ll triple thisrecipe so keep that in mind if you endup wanting some canvas okay next we’regonna be adding 1 cup of brown sugar I’musing homemade brown sugar I’ll leavethe link to my video and how I makehomemade brown sugar up above but that’sgonna be 1 cup of homemade brown sugarall right we’re also gonna be adding 1/2a cup of molasses I use unsaltedmolasses but whatever molasses youchoose to use now here’s where we’regonna change a little bit I’m going tobe using 1/4 cup of organicapple cider vinegar with the mother ifyou want you can add a quarter cup ofpineapple juice to this it’s totally upto you either is delicious all rightwe’re also adding a quarter cup of waterto this okay one tablespoon of WarChester sure sure sure sauce now here’swhere I am gonna differ again myoriginal recipe calls for two and a halfteaspoons of ground mustard noteverybody has ground mustard on hand sowe’re gonna use prepared mustard okayeverybody has prepared mustard so forevery teaspoon of ground mustard it itequates to one tablespoon of preparedmustard so since we need two and a halflet’s see if I can do this a littleeasier here two and a half teaspoonswe’re gonna use two and a half we’regonna use two and a half tablespoons ofprepared mustardand because I never measure reallyanything that looks good to me okaywe’re also gonna add two teaspoons ofsmoked paprika now everybody has smokedpaprikayou don’t need smoked paprika you canuse regular paprika you might want toadd a little liquid smoke to this if youdo just in case you want that smokyflavor if you don’t like the smokyflavor just use regular paprika andforget the liquid smoke I love smokedpaprika it’s one of our favoriteseasonings here in this house so Ialways have it on hand I’m gonna beadding 1/2 a teaspoon of granulatedonion 1/2 a teaspoon of granulatedgarlic you can use garlic powder onionpowder I just preferred the granulatedover powder now this is where we’regonna add a little bit of heat we’regonna use 1/4 teaspoon of chili powdernow if you want it a little spicier youcan go ahead and a little bit more butyou know I have kiddos that are going tobe eating this quite a few kids actuallyand so I don’t want to make it too spicyfor them we’re going to do one and ahalf teaspoons of sea salt any kind ofsalt will do whatever salt you prefer touse and then we’re gonna add in oneteaspoon of freshly ground crackedpepper and that is it you guys so we aregonna go ahead I’m gonna turn this on alow heat and we’re gonna just bring thisup to a boil and that’s it now when youtaste this you can tweak it this is theway that I like it this is tweaked tothe way my family likes it but if youwant it a little sweeter if you want ita little spicier if you want to add alittle extra mustard whatever it is thisis your barbecue sauce make it the wayyou like it use this recipe if you don’tlike it the way it isuse it as a base and then start tweakingit from there if you want it a littlesmite spicier you can add a littlepepper flake to it it’s totally up toyou this is the way we like it and thisis the way I have been making barbecuesauce I want to say for the past fiveyearsit’s our favorite and it is great forbarbecues so if you’re looking to basethem chicken or some ribs like we arethis weekend you will love it this isalso great on hamburgers becausesometimes they make barbecue baconcheeseburgers as a barbecue and this isperfect to baste those burgers with sowe’re just gonna go ahead bring this toa boil and when it gets there I willbring you back and we’ll taste test ittogether and then I’m gonna get thisinto a quart size jar and this is gonnago in my fridge and they’ll be ready togo here we are at a boil I’m gonna goahead and shut that off and we’re justgonna let this cool down a little bitbefore we taste it because if you tasteit right now it’ll be like liquid candyyou burn yourself so just allow it tocool a little bit and then you’re gonnataste it and at this point then you’regonna tweak it so tweak it add whateverelse you want to it you can bring itback up to a boil just to kind of blendthose flavors and those seasoningstogether and make it the way you like itbut hopefully you guys like it as is andit’ll be really easy for you so I’mgoing to allow this to cool I’m gonnataste it and it’s exactly the way I likeit I’m gonna go ahead and put it in abottle right so it is delicious it’sperfect and I just love the smokedpaprika in it all right so we’re gonnago ahead and we’re gonna pour this in ajarand then I’m just gonna let this jar sitout and come to room temperature beforeI go ahead and put it in my refrigerator[Music]nice so I’m gonna let it sit and coolwhen it’s all done I’ve just got theselittle plastic lids that I picked up atWalmart and I’ll put a plastic lid on itand then that will sit in myrefrigerator and will be all ready forum Labor Day weekend barbecue so keepthat off for now allow that to cool I’mgonna put it right over here my littlepad here that’s it and that’s it allrightI hope you enjoyed this video I hope yougive the barbecue sauce a try I hopelove it and if you do you try it comeback what we know and yeah happy LaborDay guys I’ll be seeing you soon byeguys
