Peaches are in season and I have piles of them waiting to be turned into something fantastic. While most would make peach cobbler, I wanted to make a sweet heat BBQ sauce with peaches and smoked chipotle peppers.
I made it and put it on some crispy pulled pork sandwiches and it hit the spot. It even worked well as a salsa in burritos.
Recipe:
1 lb Peaches
1 Medium Onion
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp Ketchup
2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Pinch Salt
1/3 Cup Molasses
2 Chipotle peppers – these come in cans and you can add as much or as little as you’d like for heat.
