hey everybody this is Jason and welcometohood cooking show hey everybody I wantedto welcome you to the first episode ofthe hood cooking show today we’re gonnamake him a barbecue sauce for you that Iused to make all the time when I had alittle barbecue business called good inthe hood and everybody’s always afterthe sauce everybody was a catering gigor whatever it may have been this is byfar my most popular sauce so we aregonna go through it for you tonightstep-by-step and then after this clip wewill send you another video of how touse it to make barbecue chicken allright now we’re gonna start making thesauce so I’m gonna call the ingredientsand Trevor’s gonna put them in the panas I call them out and the first one isthree cups like ketchup which youactually already put in the pan for youwell then the next one is 2/3 cup ofdark brown sugar alright now the nextingredients are 1/2 a cup of water and1/2 a cup of white wine vinegar but makesure you use real white wine vinegar notwhite cooking one and our nextingredient is 2 tablespoons of yellowmustard the next ingredient is 2tablespoons of chili powder oh is onetablespoon of course ground black pepperand now we have 1 teaspoon of sea saltalright now we have 1 teaspoon ofgranulated onion powder at 1 teaspoon ofgranulated garlic powder last twoingredients we combined a half ateaspoon of ground ginger and a half ateaspoon of cayenne pepper so now thatyou have all your ingredients in the panyou stir really really good it’simportant to stir it really really goodthen put on the stove probably a mediumheat bring it to a soft rolling boil andthen as soon as it starts to boil turnit down to a really low simmer as low asyou can get it stir like every 5 minutesit doesn’t burn at the bottom and dothat for you know probably about 3035minutes or soalright that was it for the barbecuesauce super simple so I’ll give it aspecial thank you to my little mini souschef here Trevor hood and to my videoAgra firmiss Courtney hood[Applause]
