The new celebrity cooking competition series Celebrity Beef premieres August 2 on E!, and viewers are excited to learn everything that they can about this entertaining show. According to E!, each Celebrity Beef episode “will pit two superstar contestants against one another as they attempt to settle the score in the kitchen while also revealing the inside scoop on their rivalry.” Joel McHale will serve as the host of the show.
Each Celebrity Beef episode will feature two stars competing in a series of challenges. The winner of each one will gain an advantage such as exclusive ingredients, while the loser will receive a punishment such as being forced to use gardening tools instead of knives while they cook. At the end of each episode, Joel will act as “prosecutor, judge, and jury” and subject the dishes to the “ultimate taste test.” The winner will receive a trophy and $10,000 for the charity of their choice. Joel will also help the celebrity rivals to squash their beefs once and for all.
Joel is an actor, comedian, producer, screenwriter, and television host who became a household name when he hosted the E! series The Soup in 2004, which he hosted until 2015. He is also known for playing Jeff Winger on the NBC sitcom Community from 2009-2015. Joel has starred in numerous films and television shows, and hosted The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale in 2018. In recent years, he has made appearances as a judge on reality television shows including The Masked Singer and RuPaul’s Drag Race. He has also been a contestant on game shows such as Lip Sync Battle, Match Game, To Tell the Truth, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Additionally, Joel hosted Card Sharks from 2019-2021. He is a funny and entertaining television personality.
