MasterChef UK: The Professionals Season 16 is the latest series of the popular cooking competition show that features 32 professional chefs from across the country who compete for the coveted title of MasterChef: The Professionals Champion. The show is hosted by Gregg Wallace and judged by Monica Galetti and Marcus Wareing, who also demonstrate their skills and challenge the contestants with various tasks. The show airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and it started on Monday, October 23, 2023. There are three episodes per week, and the series is expected to last for eight weeks, with four weeks of heats, followed by the semi-finals and finals. The show also features guest judges from the culinary world, such as Andrew Wong, Sally Abé and Jun Tanaka, as well as food critics like Grace Dent, Jay Rayner and Jimi Famurewa. The show tests the contestants’ creativity, technique, knowledge and passion for food, as they face a range of challenges, such as the signature dish round, the skills test, the invention test, the team challenge, the critic’s round and the chef’s table. The show also showcases some of the best restaurants and chefs in the UK and abroad, as well as some of the latest trends and innovations in the food industry.
