How to make Teriyaki Turkey Wings in the oven! Baked Teriyaki turkey wings are a delicious, easy recipe. I usually make this dish with fresh garlic and fresh ginger get but I don’t have either of those today. I’ve substituted powdered ginger and granulated garlic.

You can make this with turkey necks too. Just cook for a shorter amount of time.

hey sweetie I hope y’all all doing wellI’ve got another turkey recipe for youthis time it is teriyaki turkey wingslet me show you what I did but firstplease subscribe to sweet savant hitthat thumbs up that notification bellnow let’s get into that teriyaki turkeyI’ve got two packs of turkey wings herewith one of them I’ve already made somesmothered turkey wings and I’ll put alink to that recipe right up there andwith this pack I’ll do the teriyakiturkey now it’s time to cut those turkeypieces in two sections and you’re justgonna take a sharp knife find the jointand cut right through it it may take alittle practice to be able to locate thejoint but once you do it a couple timesit gets easier so we’ll just cut thoseinto sections and you don’t have to cutthem you know you can leave them wholebut I just think it’s easier to eat onceyou cut them down into serving piecesyou just kind of find the joint thereand cut right through the sharp knife ishelpful and then you cut through thatother wing jointlet’s get our other ingredients outwe’re going to start with some soy sauceand you can use low sodium soy sauce ifyou like light brown sugar and then alittle apple cider vinegar and I’ll puta link to the recipe in the descriptionbox I usually use fresh garlic andginger in this but today we’re going touse garlic powder and ginger powderginger some fresh cracked black pepperand then we’re going to add some redchili flake we’ll put this all into aroasting pan in one layer put your soysauce and brown sugar in there and mixit around then season your turkey wingswith the pepper the garlic powder andthe powder ginger and sprinkles chiliflake in there put it all in one layerin your pan I like to turn those turkeywing pieces around in the soy saucebrown sugar mixture to make sure it’swell coated and you can actuallymarinate it in this put in therefrigerator overnight but I usuallyjust cover it with foil and pop itstraight into the oven so let’s do thatget it all covered with foil and let’stake it over to the oven I’m using afoil pan so I’ll put it on top of abaking sheet just for stability pop thatinto the oven and we will come back andcheck on it in about an hour an hour haspassed let’s take a peek at those turkeywings now they have been cooking here inthis braising liquid they’re not quitedone we are going to turn them over inthe sauce you can see the difference incolor look how pretty that iswe’ll turn those around in the saucecover it again and put it back into theoven let’s go for another half an hourand then we’ll check them and see howtender they are[Music]please be careful when you’re taking thefoil off of the pan or the lid off ofwhatever pan you’re using because youdon’t want to get a steam burn it issuper hot so carefully take the foil offand now let’s check to see if our turkeyis tenderyeah those are getting there they’re notquite tender enough to eat yet but theyare well on their way so we are going toturn these around in the sauce again putthem back in the oven this timeuncovered and that will allow the sauceto reduce into a sticky glaze the turkeywill continue to cook until it has moretender and you can see the way it’spulling away from the bone there that’sanother sign that it is just about doneyou don’t want to pull all the way awayfrom the bone but that’s a goodindication that it is almost well-cookedwe’re going to put it back into the ovenwe’re going to crank the heat up so thatthe sauce will reduce into a glazehave you hit that subscribe button yet Iwould really appreciate it if yousubscribed thanks so muchoh man look how good that looks we cansee it’s getting nice and brown it’s gota great rich color I think it could usea few more minutes in that hot oven toget the sauce reduced even more so let’sput it back in for another 10 minutesand while that’s going on we’ll get somerice we have some rice left over fromyesterday so we’ll heat that up and thenwe have some broccoli as well and we’llsteam that and it’ll be time to eat wolfthat looks real good all right thatglaze is reduced down now look howpretty it is now we don’t want to reduceit down too much because then it wouldbe much too salty but this looks perfectto me and we have excess glaze we’regoing to save that the garlic and gingerreally add a nice flavor I wish I hadthe fresh garlic and fresh ginger that Iusually use I don’t have that today butwe’re not gonna let that stop us we justseason those turkey wings before we cookthem with powdered ginger and powderedgarlic and you know what it comes outreally good I think the key issprinkling a little bit of that redpepper flake in there it gives a subtleheat you don’t want to add too muchlet’s take a close look you can see howthat glaze has cooked on there it issticky it is salty it is sweet again youcan use low sodium soy sauce if youdon’t want it to be too salty but I meanlook at thatit is braised it is glazed and it isdelicious let’s get our rice let’s getour broccoli and fix us a plate[Music]are you ready to eat I am definitelyready for dinner we’ve got our turkeywing these are my favorite turkey wingpieces the little wing tip and the flatpart those are my favorite pieces of thechicken wing and the turkey wing got oursteamed broccoli and our rice over thereand now we’ve got some of that glazedmake sure you baste your dinner with alittle more glaze get some of that glazeon the rice and definitely get some ofthat glaze on the broccoli glazeeverything glaze it all yeah it’s verytasty I love this dish my dad makes thisa lot I stole this recipe from
