Grilled Chicken Shawarma | Easy recipe | Food Luscious

A mouth watering Grilled chicken shawarma with fries. This recipe is easy to make, very tasty and it doesn’t take long to cook.

INGREDIENTS:
3 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 tbsp salt {to taste}
1 tbsp paprika and chilli powder
1 & 1/2 tbsp peri peri spice
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp mixed spice powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp white pepper
1kg chicken thigh {cut in stripes}
1/2 tbsp oil {frying}
Fries
Cheese {optional}

METHOD:
1. In a mixing bowl, add 3 tbsp yogurt.
2. Add 1 tbsp garlic paste and 1 tbsp ginger paste.
3. Add 1 tbsp tomato purée.
4. Add 1 tbsp salt {to taste}.
5. Then add 1 tbsp paprika and chilli powder.
6. Add 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
7. Add 1 tbsp white vinegar.
8. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice.
9. Add 1/2 tsp mixed spice powder.
10. Add 1/2 tsp black pepper.
11. Add 1/2 tsp white pepper.
12. Mix all these ingredients together.
13. Pre-wash your chicken thigh {1kg} and cut into stripes and add to the bowl. Mix in the chicken.
14. For frying, add 1/2 tbsp oil to the grill pan on low-medium heat.
15. Fry 2-3 minutes on each side.
14. Add fries to the pan and mix in with the chicken.
15. Add cheese onto the top {optional}
16. Once the cheese has melted, turn your grill/stove off.
17. Transfer to a plate and serve with salad or your favourite type of toppings. ENJOY!
