Grilled Chicken & vegetables [ENGLISH], BBQ Chicken n Veggies, Tandoori Chicken & Veg,

In this video we will see how to make Grilled chicken and Grilled vegetables using the Homemade Tandoori masala I prepared in my earlier video. I use a simple marinade to flavour both Tandoori grilled chicken and vegetables. Let’s get cooking!

Marinade for both Chicken and Veggies:

Tandoori Masala – 2tsp (link above on how to make)
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp (to taste)
Coriander leaves – roughly chopped (handful)
Mint leaves – roughly chopped (handful)
Green chilies – 2 (finely chopped)
Juice of half a lemon
Lemon rind – chopped / grated from ½ lemon (OPTIONAL)

Oil – 2tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Curd (Yoghurt) – approx. 50g

Grilled Chicken:
Ingredients:

Chicken legs (as required) I used 8

Procedure:
1) Add all the marinade ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
2) Add the chicken and mix well.
3) Wrap the bowl with cling film and leave it preferably overnight.
4) If you are short of time allow to marinate for 1-2 hours.
5) Heat the grill.
6) Place the meat and turn sides every minute.
7) Baste the remaining marinade over the chicken while cooking (This helps the meat to stay juicy while cooked in direct heat)

8) Chicken should be done in approx. 5-8 min [this depends on the cut of meat and the intensity of fire from the grill]
9) Check if it is done by inserting a fork

10) Chicken is known to be done when:
a) The flesh separates easily from the bone
b) Raw redness / pink around the bone is no longer seen
Serve hot.

Grilled Vegetables:
Ingredients:

Paneer (cubed) – 250g

Yellow pepper (capsicum) – 1 [Chopped in squares]

Raw Mango (cubed) – 1
Courgette/Zucchini (sliced/cubed) – 1
Sweet potatoes (parboiled and cubed) – 1
Lemon (sliced) – 1
Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30-45min)

Procedure:
1) Add all the marinade ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
2) Add the vegetables and mix well.
3) Wrap the bowl with cling film and leave it for 1-2 hours (If you are short of time use immediately.)
4) Now insert the vegetables in the skewers (take extra care while doing so)
5) Heat the grill.
6) Place the veggies and turn sides every minute.
7) Baste the remaining marinade over the veggies while cooking (This helps the veggies to stay juicy for extra depth of flavour too)
Note:
Veggies should be done in approx. 2-3 min [this depends on the vegetables you use and the intensity of fire from the grill]
8)Remove from grill when it is done to your liking.
Serve hot.
