Grilled Apple and arugula salad:
I could eat this Grilled Apple Arugula Salad every single day. It’s such a unique salad, and the combination of flavors is absolutely delicious.
This easy special salad is made with a spicy arugula, grilled apple slices with walnuts and a perfect balsamic vinaigrette dressing. And who doesn’t love cheese! I added feta cheese, but you are free to add blue cheese, parmesan or any kind of cheese you like. For more filling salad, add grilled chicken breast to this salad.
No fancy shopping list is required; most ingredients will be in your pantry!
As far as the balsamic vinaigrette, my recipe includes a secret ingredient: Cayenne Pepper, yes, the Cayenne pepper. It’s perfect for any salad and takes less then 5 minutes.
This recipe is tangy, sweet and silky in texture, fabulous with your roasted vegetables or grilled chicken. It’s a wonderful fall or spring salad that can be added to any meal like roasted chicken or as a side on Thanksgiving.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
4 – 5 cups of arugula
1 green or red apple, thinly sliced and grilled
¼ cup of walnuts, roughly chopped
Feta cheese, small cubes
¼ cup of Olive oil
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinaigrette
1 teaspoon of Wholegrain Mustard or Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon of Honey
¼ to 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of Garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of Mixed Italian Herbs
¼ – 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
Salt to taste
