❤️❤️❤️Ingredients:
4 Large Chicken Breasts boneless, skinless
1 Pinch Salt
1 Pinch Pepper
2/3 cup Barbecue Sauce
1 Cup Monterey Jack Cheese shredded, can substitute pepper jack
1/2 Lb Bacon sliced into 1/2″ strips
3 Tablespoons Green Onions thinly sliced

❤️❤️❤️Directions:

1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2️⃣. Set the chicken breasts in a baking dish. Use the bottom of a mason jar or sturdy cup to “whack” the chicken breasts a few times on the thickest part of the breast to tenderize the chicken.
3️⃣ Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
4️⃣. Spoon the BBQ sauce evenly over each chicken breast, then sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the BBQ sauce.
5️⃣ Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, or until the internal teamperature of the chicken reads 165 degrees and the juices of the chicken run clear.
6️⃣ While the chicken is in the oven, slice bacon into 1/2″ strips.
7️⃣ In a saucepan on med-high heat, add the bacon strips and saute for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
8️⃣ Scoop the bacon bits out of the pan with a slotted spoon or spatula, and drain on a paper towel until cool. Set aside.
9️⃣ When the chicken is done baking, remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes to let the juices evenly distribute.
? Sprinkle the thinly sliced green onions and bacon bits over the chicken, and enjoy!

Today at the carefree kitchen,I’m going to be showing you how to make
the most easy and delicious oven bakedbarbecue chicken. These chicken breasts are tender
and juicy and loaded with flavor. And I’ll even show you how
to make homemade bacon bits.Okay, so for this recipe to get started, these are the things you’re going to need.So I have a nine by 13 here and baking
dish and I just have boneless skinlesschicken breast. You can also
use chicken thighs for this.If you have that on hand. You
can also do bone in or bone out. These are boneless, but just
use whatever you have on hand. And then we have our barbecue sauce
and my family loves sweet baby Ray’s.So that’s what we’re going to stick with. And then we have some Monterey
Jack cheese. Actually this
is pepper Jack cheese, but if your family does not like spice, then just stick with the
Monterey Jack cheese.I have some green onions I’ll wash
and slice up and then some bacon. And this is just thick sliced bacon and
I’ll show you how to make the easiesthomemade bacon bits.
Okay. So to get started,I’m just going to set my cheese up here
a little bit and my barbecue sauce. And for the chicken, I know
this is super scientific, um,but it does help. So try it
the next time you make chicken. So I just have a glass cup.
You can use a Mason jar,you could use a rolling pin or
this is just a heavy glass cup.And I’m going to give a few whacks to
the chicken I’m paying special attentionto where it’s the biggest
part of the chicken. And this will tenderize your
chicken. It doesn’t seem like much, but it makes your chicken
really tender and juicy.Okay.Okay, so now I’m just going
to turn my chicken over.Give her a little bit of salt
and pepper on both sides. There we go.Andso the next thing you’re going to
do is just take your barbecue sauce, get a spoonful there, put right
on top of your chicken breastsand then spread it over your chicken.Okay.And then I’m going to lay a couple pieces
of cheese on each one of the chickenbreast. And you can use shredded cheese
here also if that’s easier. Okay,so my chicken is already, now I’m going to pop it in a preheated
350 degree oven for about 30 to 35minutes. Okay, so for
the homemade bacon bits,I’m just going to open up a package and
this is one pound of bacon and prettymuch any kind of bacon will do.And then you’ll just a sharp knife and
cut it into about half inch strips. And I’m just going to do the whole pound.I only need about a half
a pound for this recipe, but I’ll just use the rest of the
bacon bits in another recipe. Okay.So while the chicken
cooks, I’m just going toput my bacon into a warm pan and sauteuntil it is golden Brown.
While that’s cooking, you can get ready a plate and I just
have a regular dinner plate with a couplepaper towels. You can drain
your bacon bits on here. All right. It’s starting to get
a little bit crispy on the edges, but we want it fully closed and this
process takes probably five to sevenminutes. We want to get the bacon all the way
cooked and crispy on all the edges. So just keep on fighting for
a few more minutes. Alright, that looks just about right. All the Bacon’s nice and crispy and you
can certainly cut your bacon up a littlebit smaller, but we kind
of like the bigger chunks. And then I’m going to show you how to
check and see if your chicken, it’s done.I just have a digital thermometer here.I’m just going to put it in here
and let’s see if we can get there.Alright,so here is our oven baked chicken loaded
with cheese and smothered in barbecuesauce. It’s tender and juicy. It’s got that yummy pepper Jack cheese, homemade bacon bits and the
thinly sliced green onions.I mean it’s just the perfect combination.I hope you guys enjoyed this
episode at the carefree kitchen.Be sure to like subscribe and follow
up and let me know how your oven bakedchicken turns out or if
you have any questions. Thanks so much for watching
and see you next time. Bye.This easy baked chicken is perfect to
have alongside mashed potatoes or ricepilaf or even just a simple side salad.
