AMAZING Instant Pot BBQ Ribs – Perfect for Beginners – LIVE

2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 (2-pound) racks baby back pork ribs, trimmed of excess fat, rinsed, and patted dry
1 to 2 cups of apple juice
2 cups barbecue sauce

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, onion powder, chili powder, mustard, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin and cayenne pepper.

Remove the membrane from the underside of the ribs (the best that you can!) pulling it down the entire length. Season ribs with brown sugar mixture, rubbing in thoroughly on both sides.

Add apple juice to a 6-qt Instant Pot. Place ribs upright on top of the trivet, wrapping in a circle.
Select manual or pressure cook setting; and set time for 20-25 minutes. When finished cooking, quick-release pressure according to manufacturer’s directions.
Preheat oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with foil.
Place ribs, meat side up, in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet; brush with barbecue sauce.
Place into oven and broil until barbecue sauce is caramelized and browned, about 4-6 minutes.

right alright guys welcome back tosuccess step on our live video now I’vebeen going like every single day thisweek just because you guys are homequarantine day we’re home in quarantineand so I just thought it’d be lots offun to just go live every day this weektesting no give you something to watchand give me something to do so if you’reready we’re gonna make amazing barbecueribs today in the instant pot and thisrecipe is so good so before I’ve madeinstant pot ribs I kind of just show thebasics of just doing the instant potlike just clean ribs and just throwingthem in the pot and then cooking on butthis time we’re adding some amazingspices and it’s gonna be good okay soI’m gonna get started so first we’regoing to start I’m just gonna mix someof my spices together it also goes backso you can see a little um we’re justgonna go two teaspoons of brown sugarnow the one nice thing about spices isthat they’re kind of forgiving if youdon’t have one spice that’s okay justuse what you have okay so two teaspoonsof that the rice we’re gonna do ateaspoon of these so we have some onionpowder then we have some chakra and nowit said smoked paprika is my favorite touse for this recipe but I’m all out ofsmoked paprika so just normal every goodtoday we have some dry mustard and thenyou’re supposed to use kosher salt mykosher salt is in a box somewhere sincewe’ve just moved to your ends probablyshould look for it but it’s somewhereit’s somewhere in my house all rightnext is cayenne pepper so we’re gonna doa half teaspoon of this pile over hereso a half teaspoon cayenne pepper nextis cumin or cumin however you want tosay it there’s no wrong looks a nicehere we justoregano but I love it right you knownext is just what pepper and then mylast is some garlic salt I can see scoochover this way for me so they can seethis there we go okay so I did have awhole rack of pork ribs here but Iwanted to cook some beforehand so Icould show you the after so I split itin half but usually you can fit thewhole rack into your instant pot you’rejust going to wrap it around the sidesyou can if they’re kind of smaller ribsyou could put two racks in there but forthese ones because they are big porkribs they have it only fit about onerack so anyway it’s cut it in half I’mjust gonna put my spices on and thenwe’ll go from there so all right you cando half on this side and then half onthe other side just cuz I’m not going totouch the raw meat with my hands thenpeople won’t be offended or if I forgetto wash my hands and I still continue myvideo so we have you know I’m usuallyalso with your ribs you’re gonna try andcut out as much of the fat as youpossibly can out of the Rings before youcook them and an only cure it’s so mucheasier to eat and and tastes a lotbetter okay we’re readyOhlet’s go perfect so you can use water orapple juice I love using an apple juiceand this is stringently apple it’s oneof my favorites so about a cup cup and ahalfsimply apple or any kind of apple juicethat you want put in I’m not going touse a trivet or anything because only alittle bit will be touching me if you douse a trivet it won’t fit if you have towrap boys so okay I can see my ribs ifit was the whole ribs you could see howit would wrap around the whole thing butjust okay firmly here we go so make surethe little knob is turned to Seeley notventing then we’re gonna push thepressure pick button oh you can tell Ialready kicked it before mm-hmm crazykook now if they’re really thick you goabout 25 minutes if they’re really smallgroups you can go 20 minutes and I stillbe fine we’re just gonna let it releaseon its own for about 10 minutes afterit’s done cooking all right so I’m goingto scoot some of my stuff over here so Ican show you what we do with the finishstrips so my ribs are done I did alittle smaller one this time so I do usea trivet and put it on there but yeahyou will notice when your ribs cook itwill hold the shape still of whateveryou shape you put it in so if it’s theif it’s in the circle it will kind of beright on so you just have to kind ofpush it down it’ll be just finehey next you just add your favoritebarbecue sauce now I have a lot of kiloof people on hereKito so I mean if you want to try thesugar-free one it’s actually really goodbarbecue sauce I don’t mind it at all orjust use whatever is your favorite soI’m just gonna not measure anythingwe love barbecue sauce and just kind ofdump it on then spread it all aroundbarbecue sauce is gonna taste so good atall those spices okay now for the scarypart are you ready it means my broileragainmmm you missed my last boiling issue ofthe roastokay I’m gonna throw this in the ovenand broil it for just like a minute ortwo okay so you can see wondering if youguys have any questions that you haveabout your instant pot that you want meto answer or talk about or what whichone is pressure cooker or slow cookerI’m so the pressure cooker I use is theinstant pots most of my recipes are forthe instant pot but you can use a slowcooker and convert a lot of recipes butthe ones that I’m showing the majorityof the time are for this someone lovessweet baby Ray’s barbecue sauce that ismy favorites pictures on there umfrozen cooking time so I love ribs but Ido not love ribs that are frozen as youcook them in the instant possible highlyhighly suggest pulling them out thenight before or even two days beforesticking in the fridge because theytaste so much better if you do it frozenI haven’t really experienced any goodinstant pot ribs that have come fromfrozen so I just just saw them I it’sall I got to say there I’m okay summeris an instant pot and boil them in theoven for 10 minutes and they were superbOh wonderful I’m glad I’m so glad I’mOba for before I get going all this so Ilove I love you guys commenting andeverything with these live streams butI’m finding out quickly that with thelive streams all the comments disappearso if you just do me a giant favor andgive to the instant potstill learning awesome do you change therubber ring um on your on trees versusdesertsso I actually okay if you have oneinstant pot yes I would change the Ringsout if you have to I kind of use oneinstant pot for my deserts and one formy entree so then I don’t have issuesbut I just I got a few rings from Amazonthey’re like seven dollars and for twoof them so I just make sure I always useblue for desserts or white for my entreeso kind of just however the system worksfor you that’s how I do it okay I’m notgonna mess up like it unless I’m gonnarecheck all this all right we got onemore minutes any other questions that Ihave uh don’t forget your gifts underthe broiler I know I did lobe royaltoday instead of the hot oil I learned Ilearned my lesson um other functions ofthe instant pot I’m cooking soup do ipress the soup and then pressure cookokay so the other functions if younoticed I don’t use the other functionsvery often I just use a pressure cookermanual button mostly because those otherbuttons are mostly just set for to set atimer and I like to control my own timerso yeah you can push the soup button butI mean what kind of soup are you makingI’m making beef stew soup or chickensoup that’s the chickens already cookedso I would suggest pushing manualpressure cook so you actually havecontrol of you know how you’re settingyour timer and your your key and
