How to make Pinoy BBQ Pork on a Stick in the Recteq Bullseye RT-B380

On my mission to try new foods, next on the list is Pinoy BBQ pork on a stick! This is a favorite among my friends in the Philippines and trust me, it doesn’t disappoint! It’s best to let it marinate for ~24 hours. Also, most of the ingredients can be found either in the regular grocery store, BJs, Amazon or an International grocery store.

What’s all in here?

4 lbs. pork shoulder sliced into thin pieces
Bamboo Skewers

Marinade ingredients
¾ cup soy sauce
½ cup lemon juice
¾ cup banana ketchup (AKA Banana Sauce)
4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 ½ cups lemon or lime soda (IE: Sprite or Sierra Mist)

**The additional marinate sauce was made off camera included more of the same ingredients except there wasn’t any soda added and I added a little Cayenne Pepper.
