Here’s the instructional video for my simple Vietnamese Grilled Pork Chop recipe!
Serving size: 4 pork chops (I like it with the bone but can also use boneless)
Marinade:
3 cloves in minced garlic
2 tbsp minced lemongrass
1 chopped green onion
1 tbsp honey
1 1/2 tbsp sugar (I prefer brown sugar)
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp pepper
Fish sauce dressing:
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp fresh chili or chili garlic sauce (optional)
1/4 tsp lime juice
Marinade pork chop for at least 30 min then grill on medium high until fully cooked and brown.
Dress pork chop and rice with onion oil (chopped green onions sautéed in oil) and fish sauce. Serve with a fried egg, tomatoes and cucumbers.
Tip: The asian markets usually sell frozen minced or sliced lemongrass. I always have a bag in my freezer handy! It’s much easier than chopping fresh lemongrass.
