In this short video, Cast Iron Katie demonstrates how to make homemade cherry BBQ sauce.
Ingredients:
2 T oil
2 c cherries, thawed from frozen or fresh
1/2 large onion
1 T minced garlic
1 14 oz can tomato soup
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1 T Worchestershire sauce
1 T chili powder
1 t ground mustard
2 t kosher salt
1 t pepper
1/2 t smoked paprika
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan
Cook onion and garlic in oil for 5-7 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Cool for 20 minutes.
Place in blender.
Blend for 3 minutes until smooth.
Store in a glass container in the refrigerator for at least 3 days before using.
