Homemade (Low Sugar) Mesquite BBQ Sauce | WEIGHT WATCHERS RECIPE

Most of the BBQ sauce you purchase in the grocery store has a considerable amount of sugar added. Here is a yummy Mesquite BBQ sauce with minimal sugar and a medium spice level. I created it by combining several different BBQ sauce recipes I found online and replacing the brown sugar with sugar substitute and a tiny bit of molasses (which is the only sugary substance added). Enjoy.

Homemade (Low Sugar) Mesquite BBQ Sauce Ingredients:
15oz. can Tomato Sauce
1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
8 Pkg. Sugar Substitute
1 tsp. Molasses
1 Tbsp. Liquid Smoke Mesquite
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Chipolte Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Kosher Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
1 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
1 1/2 tsp. Cornstarch
1/4 cup Water

Combine all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Makes 15, 2oz. servings.
